If there's any emcees that wanna get down but dont have any means of home recording here's Acid 4.0 & a serial code generator. You won't be able to register the software but once it expires you can erase the program, reinstall it and generate a new serial. If you have any questions on operating it just email me. http://download.yousendit.com/7DE2EF074D95BFF8 http://download.yousendit.com/57FB8CC337BF6E29

This is pretty crazy.....everyone is going for different parts and different sounds.....damn good idea for pushing everyone....Miles had some serious energy with his big points on the ending as well. Trez was the first to drop a glitch type one which is hot as well. JKR had some pretty good energy going on too...Tilla's was real smooth, had to listen again to notice he added a bass...and Detail's was real hot as well.

Excellent stuff...I was excited to see this on here especially since Fela is one of my all time favorites. I know the song well so it's a treat to hear everyone's take. I saw Femi perform Water No Get Enemy a week ago here in Austin - an amazing experience. Miles - you're beat is sophisticated bouncy and mature...Joc Max would be proud. JKR - Chop that shit mang...hot fiyah! I'm feeling the rest of 'em too...Trez, Sifter, Detail. Excellent idea, Reach.

Yea..two days on a beat isn't madning..but getting it on a sat nite to get it ready for sunday nite while working a 10 hr shift all weekend is..glad u likee tho!! Yea miles..thanks. I've been trying get things a little more organized..and that is a priority right now.Seems that has DEFINITELY not been enough of the case. Nice selection Reach!!..It was a little bit of a challenge what with the PLETHORA of items to work with in the song..took me a day just to figure out what i wanted to use. I think that maybe next time we should get a week to bang the track out...or at least have the source released on a monday so i could get one day off to work on it fully..(think about it). Where is your track by the way.... Thanks Flow...Atilia.... LIFT...Yea..id like to hear what your gonna do to this one...CANNONS UP!! Deta?l...You said ha ha so i have to assume that you were joking...you were joking right? But then i see a "Quote" from some hippy band (cant you be original?) The similarities between your track and my track are that they came from the same sample source, as in "Water No Get Enemy" - Fela Kuti. Thats it. It kinda saddens me to see that you failed to listen to the intricacies within the track as they are intended for you and my fellow producers(and anyone else who lives for the construct/deconstruct of tone)to hear.I don't expect to have "A.Joe"really get the way i chopsuey.Mabye a litte of that is my fault for putting this out with out giving enough time to mix and marinate.Anyway, im not here to pontificate on how its deeper some times than just a bandpass filter. My suggestion to you tho is to try and embrace the creativity on this board for what it is, least someone point out your flaws. (Which...odly, also has its merit.) Big ups to all the cats building on this site to make the city what it already is..Will be..and ment to be! Ps. Nice remix trez. that's hot SG @ Mafesto I was only half serious...half because I really don't care, but serious because it's the same exact loop, filtered down, you just threw some different things on top of it. If I hadn't posted mine first I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have used the same loop and done almost the same things to it. I hate to be the only dude up in this thread not building or whatever, but it did suprise me when everyone else was flipping ish different to hear a loop so similar to mine on a 7 minute song...but it's not serious, foreal. next time we shoud have some rules...like a cutoff date for one. for two they should all be posted at the same time after all beats are recieved.

Mafesto's beat was hot. Actually, it was better than yours. That is just my opinion, however. Even if he was influenced by your beat, he flipped it and did it better. Yours sounds very low quality. We're talking about several producers sampling from one song so there are going to be similarities. Is Peanut Butter Wolf a biter because he looped the same thing as Diamond D? There are no biters in hip-hop, or we're all biters. You decide. That is some petty shit to get bent over, dog.

its all good: 1 - this wasnt a competition 2 - yes, having a day to turn them in is a good idea. 3 - of course if people make them after hearing others beats there is slight influence regarding who uses what where. so yeah, next time lets have a due date and every posts on that date, unless you dont care. next up, sandman!!! but 1st lets wait til this project gets finialized in some from. are we gonna have people record over it? who is gonna be in charge of organizing it as a project? The due date thing sounds like a pretty good idea......something else to think about is to make it a little contest with blind judging. I know I'm a fairly competitive person and it certainly would help sharpen my skills knowing that it is a competition....no prize is needed cause it is all for fun, blind judging for obvious reasons.
