Topic: Songs that give you visions

Peace yall,
yea, i've been lurkin long enough...LOL
i thought i'd throw this out there and see who's feelin me on this. lately i been peepin that "donuts" and the last cut "donuts intro", listening to that joint gives me the vision of an ending of a old school flick, where the childhood friends who've grown to be a couple neighborhood hustlas make the big score and roll off into the sunset. with the mainloop playing you see the credit rolling in blackscreen with snapshot of old pics of'em at different time flash up on the screen nawmean? k-def also has some joints (un-released) that give me visions of scenes out of a old school blaxploitation flick.there are a few songs that, as a whole, speak on something or tell a story, yet the music alone allows you to paint your own picture and tell your own story. what songs just makes your creative mind wonder? peace.

yea. i know more of yall can feel me on this one. like for example, pete rock and cl smooth "troy". C.L. painted an awesome picture lyrically. but the track itself just seems perfect for your own personalized story.
beatminerz - mafia don, would also make an ill backdrop record in a ill scene in your drug hustle over in the islands type flick. yaknow?
music that gives you a mental picture.

whenever I hear this song I picture...I don't know...like eternal bliss or something. Especially when those horns come in...actually I cant describe it with words, its more like sight. I [i:40befa77f8]see[/i:40befa77f8] that song when it's playing. It's akin to those music videos by The Saline Project. Anybody know what i'm talkin about? like that Black Eyed Peas video or the 50 cent video? any thats what I envision when I listen to it...man I love that song...

[b:015342c370]we've only just begun by curtis mayfield[/b:015342c370] allways gives me a vision of the newness of falling in love and the possibilities of how good it can be.
[b:015342c370]In the bottle by Gil Scot Heron [/b:015342c370]allways paints a rather grim picture of the painfull grip of addiction to alcohol and the downfalls of living broke.
[b:015342c370]Got to give it up by Marvin Gaye [/b:015342c370]gives me a vision of being on a block in brooklyn with a fire hydrant spewing out water and a bunch of people cooling off in it on a hot day.
Songs that paint the vision of me being in a convertable cadilac on on sunny day with a cool breeze are:
1) Everyone love the sunshine - Roy Ayers
2) Ridin' High - Fazeo
3) Be thankfull for what you've got - William Devon
4) Summer Madness - Kool in the Gang
Good topic, I could post on this all day long.

Kanye's "We Major" brings the closing scene of [u:4d7abb4743]School Daze[/u:4d7abb4743] to mind. The scene where Dap is running up the quad screaming to the school campus.
