Just heard a cd from this guy and was impressed. Wondering if anyone here has heard of him?
And wow this place has really died down since the last time I was hear about 2 years ago. What happened?

What happened is after reach won the scion shit, and miles was in scratch magazine, and deepthinkers was in xxl,etc..all around the same time period- everyone got really high on themselves and the "underground family" that was "Kc Hip Hop"--after a couple years of all that ammounting to nothing- it looks like cats arent so hyped on themselves anymore..and realize the asses they've made of themselves with all the self promotion, podcasts,merch,stupid ass shows with all the same freinds/attendees,videos-and of course -the finest dimes in kc- the style girls!!!! All these dudes really thought they were gonna make a career off this shit... and besides the less than short lived mac lethal rhyme sayers career with one trash ass album that lined the sayers pockets with a little extra beer money- no one's done shit besides jump on and off eachothers dicks. In summary I'm pretty sure theres no one on here anymore 'cause they no longer feel like superstars and don't feel like any of the shit they were on just 2 years ago is worth talking about anymore, probably just too frustrating-hiphopkc.com is now one big shattered ego.Hopefully the Ptch, etc. has started doing on articles & giving publicity & shit to more REAL cats besides just the Popper. 1 LOVE! -aDru

Thanks for the info. Kinda sad but informative nonetheless. Its crazy that the more lively the city has become over the past few years the more this site, and the KC hip-hop scene in general, has become a graveyard.
