Meet a prideful new group of Young Lions!!!
Reach & GoodGame bring you the third installment of the series.
Kansas City, MO, April 15th, 2010: In 2009, Reach wanted to create a way to help younger artists coming through the pipeline of the Kansas City Hip Hop scene. What emerged was “The Young Lionsâ€, a performance series, designed to acknowledge and celebrate the new players in the market. The previous two shows were held in April and August of 2009 at The Brick and the ScionLAB, respectively, in the crossroads area of Kansas City. Previous pride members include: Greg Enemy, thePhantom*, Craig Smith, Atilla, Awe and Young Storm (among others). The April showcase was chronicled by Pitch writer, Nadia Pflaum. Both of the initial two shows were well attended and received.
Artists who are already doing for themselves and understand that this show is an honorarium and not a handout fit the profile. The latest lion foursome: Marty Notes, LP, 8th and Headfella will prey upon The 1809 (1809 Troost) on Saturday, May 15th, 2010. Headfella will also serve as the house DJ for the night and will open things up with a DJ set. The show’s being hosted by former Lioness, Young Storm. “Lions 3†is open to people of all ages and will begin at 10pm. The price of admission for this live show will be $5.
