Yo whats good ya'll i know the site or at least the people on it havent been very active lately but this time i'm needing your help. i have the opportunity to host a hiphop nite at a local club on thursday nites and was wanting peoples input on if they would or would not support that nite. all feedback is appreciated and will be taken into consideration in planning it to go down. ideas and opinions are welcome this is as much your guys nite as it will be mne i hope to hear from sum if not all of the members here.....

if your nite is on-going, that would be great! glad you are seeking feedback
its my opinion that any nite that encourages all the elements to come together in one place will be great on both sides artists/dancers, as well as those who are being entertained by it.
that you said club I am assuming its 21+. it continues to be my dream that there be more all age events, where generations of hiphop culture can mix it up, encourage, teach and share. this stays near the top of my wish list at all times. another hope that stays high on my list is a desire for growing professionalism /planning of more events given in the city.
taking oneself serious through preparation and execution always show and believe me "the People" know the difference and response differently when they are met with quality.
to sum up QUALITY in presentation rather than quantity
the presence of all the elements would be unique at this time
*professionalism/planning/PROMOTION/execution seems to be the key to having an ongoing success that gets and keeps a following.
one final thing, this site has a photo gallery that is dedicated to documenting and preserving local hiphop culture. please load it with pictures of events, practices, recording sessions, battles, flyers, candid shots etc they are welcome.
* professionalism defined as honing skills, knowing how to do business from the front to the back of any venue, attending to the art of "what makes a good show" and having an eye on what people who pay ( to be a part of the vibe) want"

WOW!!!!! man Necia you are an inspiration to me...def helped me with that wisdom EVERYBODY can learn something from that post...i plan to implement it in my future endeavors hiphop and non hiphop related.

yo good lookin out thanx for the heads up about the other thurs nite hiphop spots. although its a little vague as to where an when things are poppin on thurs i'll keep that in mind. yes ideally fri or sat would be the best times but due to the schedule of the club/ bar i'm usin those nites are not a possibility. i'm gonna look into a sunday so i guess the question is now who would be down to support a sunday nite hiphop nite ala the old peanut vibe in KCK??
