SOME IDEAS
* if we attempts to discuss whether "the scene exists" or some common and often repeated post discussions, and people care about this site.. we will post a link to the last time it was discussed. we will organize ourselves and our content.
* if someone talks trash that isn't constructive, call them out.
* lets remove barriers from accessing the forum. If we want people to easily join the community lets not create barriers via ads etc to them getting to the goods.
* stickys must be taken down and put up daily. Those who run the board must demonstrate a commitment to participate in maintaining the content and theerby set a precedent for the users.
* lets make effort to post new topics, and at least reply in some form to other's posts.
if this is going to turn around and work..
NO MORE SLACKING AND NEGATIVITY. Just proactive efforts.

I have been slackin, no doubt
I have become jaded by the bickering, negativity,
I had hoped there would be more, communtiy spirit, supportive dialogue, honest, helpful critique of projects, and less personal attacks
I have felt hopeless and lost about the future of this site's purpose
thanks miles for your proactive ideas
I will commit to checking into upcoming events daily to make adjustments
to posting I welcome help with this job in the form of moderators
I will offer honest comments and critiques
I will start again to call out negativity even when called a censor
I will work with anyone to better this site
miles do you mean remove the click through ad space and or remove the need of membership to access message boards?
are there other ideas along this line

question about content/ Forums
are there too many forums
are the current forum titles no long relevant?
suggest more appropriate forum titles, number,
should all forums be available to non-members?

yeah i think the click through is kind of a difficult thing to have when it parallells a lack of use... for now anyway.

I'd also put in a vote for allowing Community Chatter to be viewed by all, even those not registered. However in order to post you should have to register.

I can't stand that click through shit...I said taht when I first encountered it but got spun off on some we gotta make money somehow shit
I stopped checking this for a minute until I figured out a way to "beat it" (no michael jackson)
i have a degree in marketing and that type of advertising infuriates me and most of the time doesn't work...just put it on the front page of the site..I'd be willing to bet noone reads that page anyway-I couldn't tell you what's on it
