Anyone see this last Thursday? I've seen it twice now and I wasn't impressed. The show didn't have much substance to it. Watching a couple guys in a barbershop cut on each other is boring. Sure a couple of celebrities stopped by, but it's MTV. I'm used to seeing Busta Rhymes and Tony Yayo on MTV. Yeah, I know... They're in a more real world setting (wink wink), but there's nothing all that interesting about seeing Busta get his hair cut. At least not to me. I hate to trash the show after just one week, but the premise is dry. This doesn't really represent the Barbershop's place in the Black community.

I agree whole-heartedly. The money they spent on that could have funded a nice 20 city tour, that could actually be good. Unlike the show. Where's Ice Cube, and Cedric the Entertainer?

I bet the stuff they edited out was funnier. I'm gonna give it a few more weeks... On the real though, MTV's programming has gotten bad lately. Might just be me, but "Wildin' Out" and "The Shop" seem like BET shows.

This show just isn't going to be very good. They're going to try and sell us on the one celebrity cameo appearance, but that isn't enough to make this show work. They're doing the "barbershop" a disservice. It's not funny, it's not entertaining and it doesn't resemble a real barbershop at all.

I'd rather watch older barbers shoot the breeze.
