How much is this show?
No offense but why aren't any of CES Cru's friends opening for them on their release party? No Info Gates? No Lucid? Just curious.

I'm not even that big of a fan of Irv Da Phenom's music, but I think it's cool that someone's putting new/different people on bills around town. Particularly at the Riot Room, where you can usually count on the Soul Servers, the Deep Thinkers', the Christos' and the Lucid's to be there performing.
I mean this will be a pretty big show, and putting a young cat on the bill like Irv could be pretty big for him. I know I'll be there early to check him out. I haven't really paid much attention to him before, so I feel obligated, I guess.

I dig the diversity, and the fact that a young cat in the game is on the bill. I guess it's my nature. Irv is the dude. He may not be what a CES crowd is used to hearing...or even KC Hip Hop is used to, but hey, switch the line-up and you may dig it. Keeps shows interesting. I think Irv has great potential. Plus, the dude is just hilarious as fuck.

This should have been a local show. HS doesn't know who the fuck CES is, nor care. How did they make the CES release better than if it was [b:fedefadccc]just[/b:fedefadccc] a CES album release, with their peoples performing and the locals chilling? Throw your money away on big name rappers from NY, and watch them not even give a fuck enough to do a decent show! To them we ain't shit. To us we are. Why bring them here?! Leave those assholes in NY and keep em out our city. Fuck Heltah Skeltah!

ranked among the top 3 worst experiences i have had on stage. completely disrespectful...i shoulda cut off their music and told those bitches to do it themselves. all good tho...you live and you learn.

I left after the third time they broke out into laughter with each other for whatever reason in the middle of one of their songs. And them having Lenny D start every fucking track over two or three times was real annoying also. At that point, I walked out to the patio and never went back inside.

yo, this is steve from vsb. first off all who wanted to hate. u spend $8431.00 and then complain who or who isnt on the bill. second off i lost $8431 dollars last night thats more that most of u get in mnths so disrepect heltah cause they didnt pat ur heads and rub ur tummy. they were wating for cds to burn not just loligagin and wasting time. thats what took so long to get on stage. second off, who ever threw the beer bottle was wack all because some artist didnt bow down and wanna hear somebody's life story. i gave my heart , my cheeze, and my love to kc and i feel comepletly disrespected by my scene. my first and formost goal is to help ces get to where they deserve. and ive put my time and money into it, and our kc heads are so butt hurt about artist not wanting to hear their life stories they gotta throw bottles. so gangsta. lol all i know is that will be the last show i waste my blood sweat and tears on for ungreatful people. i see now why beatbroker stopped doin big shows cause everybody in this town thinks they deserve a free ticket and a pat on the back from whoever comes to kc. and were no differnt from any other city. our cictys so smakll everybody thinks there the best mc in the city. lol there is almost more mcs than hip hop fans. i hope and pray that someday people create more unity and love cause right now kcs hip hop scene is like and episode of days of our lives. emotions and babies. stop all the crying and put ur own cheeze up for something. lennyd u killed it! beat u killed it! ces u killed it! and in the end ill still get it in for ces all day till they get to where they deserve. all peple can be friends and talk but i acctually put my money where my mouth is. so lets see more people doing that instead of pokin at me and my things. if people were busy with their music they couldnt hate on what im trying to do.
i would spend every dollar and extra min i had for KC artists i love so many. i just wish someone would come together with me and help guide me to put us all over the US please!! i am humbly asking help me lets pull together and make this happen! everyone has something to offer. if we all unified we could turn this cities underground scene back to ow it used to be... ON FIRE.
open to any help ideas suggestions. i just wanna do anything i can to be apart and help!!!

As far as what I was saying, Heltah Skeltah, regardless of when they arrived on stage, were ...well....just awful, from them forgetting their verses, to making the DJ start songs over and over, they just looked unprofessional and faded as hell.
Just saying, ask around, this is the general consensus.

yea thx man and i agree lenny tried to get with them b4 and they said yea but then didnt follow thru. fuck those dudes. but yea i hope to still get it in and next time take what i learned. i would love to get down with whoever is serious to do a big show. im not even about making money. just making it happen!!!

VSB, I think its more that we're mad at Heltah Skeltah for taking your money and doing such a shit ass performance. That was literally one of the worst performances I've EVER seen by a professional rap group. I would hope it didn't jade you enough to never do shows again. That's what pisses me off.
I guess my thinking is what the amount of money you're talking about could really do for a group like CES is sssssooooo much more than paying a big act to perform with them possibly could.
But yeah, I'm also speaking with hindsight. Don't take my comments as a slight. I'm down to work. You want to build, get at me.

yea i was just kinda irratated with a certain individual who threw a bottle.. because he owed me some cheeze personaly and i let him come to my show anyway and he disrespected. but im over it. i was wrong when i said i am done cause im just getting started! and yea lucid ur right and i appreciate the words of wisdom. i met with strange musics a&r guy they thought the cd was dope! so im trying to work on getting ces to open for tech in lawerence this month! chances are looking very good!!! 8165823838 holla at me lucid.
