[b:80e37d09bb]What up people!!!!
In celebration of publishing our new issue of Demencha, we'll be having two release parties this week.
Tomorrow (Tuesday night) will mark part one at Karma in Westport with DJ SKU and Brent Tactic (this is also in celebration of Brent Tactic's b-day). I don't know that Brent has ever played at Karma before, so this should be a riot!!! Not only that, but SKU has probably made Tuesdays at Karma one of, if not the best club night in KC, oddly enough.
The very next night at a brand new venue at 18th and Locust (behind Grinders) - The Scion Lab - will commence part two of the magazine release festivities on Wednesday night. Here, Leonard D Stroy of the Deep Thinkers, with Brother of Moses as host, will welcome the incomparable Reggie B to Kansas City for Reggie's first show in KC in a long time for "Future Funk."
It's purely coincidental that both cover-featured artists on the new issue - SKU and Reggie B - will be performing back to back nights. Hence, a two-part release party.[/b:80e37d09bb]
Copies of Demencha will be handed out for [b:80e37d09bb]free[/b:80e37d09bb] on both of these nights, but [b:80e37d09bb]only[/b:80e37d09bb] these two nights. If you catch me or a crew member afterwards, you'll have to purchase one.
Hope to see you out this week!
