I have an emergency ... my only real reliable head phones finally died. Do y'all know of any good PRODUCTION headphones out there that wont break the bank?

Audio Technica M40fs I have a few pairs, if they break, take them where you got them and they'll usually replace them right there (shout out to Mass St. Music 8) )

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD280 headphones. Cost me 80 bucks on Ebay. They retail for 100 bucks. You may find a used pair for cheaper if you search for them. You can't beat them for quality. Every piece of those headphones is replaceable from the ear cups to the wire and the speakers. They are big and heavy-duty and don't feel cheap. They are super comfortable to where you can have them on for hours and not feel any discomfort. The high end and midrange are flat, flat, flat! The low end is a little under pronounced so you have to boost the bass a tad. Hearing them in comparison to cheaper headphones makes your music come alive. I can hear every little nuance and detail. I like these so much better than the Beats By Dre phones. They sound more natural and are a perfect monitoring source. They are the real deal to me. I mixed the majority of CES Cru's C.E.S.Philes Vol. 1 with those. -Vrt

I've used mine for 3 yrs now and have travelled w/ them all over, still sound great, and are rugged. Dre should shelve his joints were he shelves his artists.
