Doubtful most of the auidience will understand the budget I bet most will blame Funkhauser even though he wasn't the one in office when people voted for the Sprint Center/Power & Light District that was Kay Barnes. She helped the Cordish group get that deal so they'd help her when she ran for congress you should tell the truth Nadia your Amateur magazine wrote a peice about Sam Graves so ya'll supported Barnes who supported the racist policies of Power & Light. The Pitch is garbage.

He's making the media rounds.
Funkhouser recently did an extensive interview with Nick Wright from 610 sports on the AM side of the dial.
Very interesting.
He stuck his chest out and told all of Kansas City just what he thought about the handshake agreement on the 2 million dollar maintenance subsidy for the Truman Sports Complex.
And I'm a Chiefs die-hard, but I can't say that I don't agree with him.
I think he's being disingenuous with the strawman argument that he's choosing "cops" over "sports" though. That's lame.
At the end of the day... Those teams aren't going anywhere.
He just called their bluff.

I heard part of it in the car between the gym and a grocery run...
people were asking really good questions about the budget, about the controversy with MF's wife and the city paying his legal fees, and about how much more taxpayer money we're going to have to sink into the P&L to keep it afloat. I was impressed -- people are paying attention, and they do get it. So if they decide to blame Funkhouser when it's all said and done, it'll be an educated decision.
I hadn't posted on this site in ages because of the people who constantly hijack constructive conversations. HHKC is garbage.

delight, whats more important to you? keeping the peace or keeping it real?
they were just stating their opinion. and in my book those opinions are on point. her articles suck and the pitch is a weak excuse for journalism.
