Anybody seen the Legend series on Boxing?
Made me realize how much I used to love the sport of Boxing.
Growing up Boxing was every bit as important as the NFL, Major League Baseball, and the NBA.
Every major fight was an event for me.
I remember watching the unbeatable Mike Tyson fall at the hands of Buster Douglas three days before my 12th birthday.
I remember watching Julio Cesar Chavez fight Meldrick Taylor about a month later. Ring Magazine went on to call that the fight of the 90's and later still the fight of the decade. How that's possible I don't know. Douglas beating Tyson was the greatest upset the Heavyweight class had ever had. Maybe the biggest upset in all of Boxing's history. Though Clay beating Liston makes a hell of a case.
I'm not as big a fan of Boxing as I was. Makes me sad.
It's just not the same.
Especially since my boy Pretty Boy's hung it up.

Ha, Ha! I remember that too. I was at my dads friend Garys' house. I had a thing for Garys' daughter... what was her name??? The ghetto bird was out that night too. I remember watching this dude hop out of a trash dumpster and haul ass down the block when the spotlight passed. Ha, Ha. I think her name was Jenny, or Jessie?
