Maybe it's too early to discuss b-ball with the Superbowl being tomorrow...but i don't care 🙂 Right now it's obvious who the frontrunners are: Boston, Cleveland, Orlando in the East and pretty much the Lakers, Lakers, and Lakers in the West. I'm trying to figure out why the Detroit experiment isn't working, I know Iverson is really trying to step back a little bit....but c'mon, 18ppg? Maybe he needs to light it up a little more, I can pretty much guarantee he's capable...who knows 🙄 Any thoughts, predictions, etc...? PS Reach, how bout those Knicks!

I thought the billups/iverson trade was a dumb move on the pistons part. I've been liking Orlando for a minute. Can't decide if I like the Cavaliers or Celtics to come out of the East.

Da Bulls will have a perfect 82 and 0 season. Average score will be 263-0. The Championship will come down to The Lakers vs Da Bulls. This too will be an undefeated sweep on Da Bulls part. This winning streak will continue for 7 seasons. DA Bulls! Thank you.

I think Bynum is now out for 12 weeks.

And if he has surgery he could be done for the year. Still... I think that team can weather the storm. Gasol's acclimated to that system now. Odom can slide back into the lineup. Mihm, Ariza... I think they'll be alright. But then again... I NEVER bet against the Spurs... And it is an odd-numbered year!!!

Duncan seems to be reborn....which is scary, but I don't know if they have enough left in the tank to hang with the Lake Show.....I look for Boston to come out of the east as well, but don't count Lebron out!!

I dunno i put my money on kobe and gasol... that game tonight was once again.. THE KOBE SHOW! I'm personally enjoying the Northwest division battle for the top right now and the Nuggets are shaping to be pretty tough.. But we'll see tonight against the spurs.. Football is done so it's full focus on hoops for me.. GOOD POST!

Love the Lakers, but Gasol is too light in the pants to do any real work in the paint. Unfortunately without Bynum that will be left up to Kobe, and we all saw how that ended last year. I hate saying this but i think that the Celts. are going to do it again(Hated em since bird and ugg mugg aka. Parish) The Cavs are a great story, but in the League great stories get smashed by great teams! Besides, they need a few more pieces to really help Bron Bron take it there. The Spurs have finally awaken from their early season hibernating, and like Reach said you can NEVER trully count them out. It would be so nice to see the Hawks or the Hornets reallly go hard and dig it out. I know, I know, i'm dreaming! I just like underdogs!

Kobe pitched a bitch at the Garden. If Odom gives them anything consistent they're gonna be the team to beat in the West.

Indeed! He did his thing at the Mecca, but is that really going to matter come May-June?When every one's playing at a high level, and as much as i like Odom, he's too inconsistent. You never know who you're going to get with the guy.

only team in the east that's gonna give the celts a challenge is cleveland. i like the magic but they are more likely to come out flat and not get back into a series. King James has taken a way inferior team to the finals...so my money is there with the in the eastern conference finals with the celts winning. lakers should still run the table in the west, but you never know with bynum gone now. gasol can play like a beast but it's not consistant. spurs are always dangerous especially if the big 3 can stay healthy. same with the rockets if their big three can ever play more than a week together. i actually wouldn't be surprised if the jazz or the warriors put together some crazy run in the second half and make noise.

Still hard to count them out with Kobe scoring at will. The guy's such a problem. Boston/Cleveland Lakers/Spurs The only 4 teams that will seriously figure into this discussion I think... With the former in each conference making the finals, putting another 'ring' on it, and KG getting more of his just desserts from all the years he languished in Minnesota. Ray Allen too...for all the "sleepless" nights in Seattle.
