What's the deal KC?
Yeah...
i gotta give it up to everyone who came out and made the Rap Attack show what it was...silly name and all..
i could have asked for a better turnout or line-up...
hopefully this will open the Record Bar up to more hip-hop shows...
that is if ppl stop taggin' the bathroom....and start tippin' the bartenders...
seriously...spread the word on this.
This is the reason a lot of venues don't like to do hip-hop shows...
it's in our nature to be stingy with loot and tag everything....but there's gotta be a comprimise if we wanna keep good venues in our favor...
yeah enough preachin....
thanks everyone for kicking of the year right!
i'll be posting video links and photos all day.
let me know what you all think

really great event, very memorable. thanks sike and everyone else involved and who attended. I'm glad I was there. Look forwrad to watching the next one. Everyone is getting so progressive, I love it. Lots of forward thinking music going on.

Oh my god. The show was so off the chain. I agree with Miles that the show was memorable, and that all the groups involved are staying progressive. Soul Servers blew me away. I had seen them before, and liked the show then, but this venue was their niche and had so much fucking energy. CES had an incredible set, one of the best and most fluid I've seen of theirs since, I don't know when. Approach is the man, and Sku ended the night so perfectly. His dj set was ridiculous. I got the second half of it on video, Sike needs to show me how to post it and I'd be happy to. Also, Approach ended the night right with the cypher steez. I heard so many compliments on the show. Really though, what I couldn't believe was the crowd. I've seen these groups all kill shows before, but seldom do we locally get such an emphatic response. Good shit.

Saturday was the wave of the future.
If we can stamp out the small fires and come together nothing will be able to stop "our scene" from blowing the roof off of the recording industry...and soon.
So many talented artists in the building...
And we all got down on one stage.
That's how it's supposed to work.
Thanks again Sike for having me.
I have a great time...

one of the biggest nights in my still green career.
honored to open and have the opportunity to see some sets from groups i haven't had the liberty to see before. i took away so much from everyone's sets.
definitely a big night for me to meet so many emcees in the scene that i had an unknown mutual respect for.
i'd do it again at the drop of a hat.

Rap Attack was a BLAST! Thanks to Sike for puttin' it on, and thanks to everyone for showing the Soul Servers love. The amount of energy there was unbelievable. I'm still trippin' over Sku and Approach!
