Dublow's ass hurt cuz Diplo didn't play any 85-bpm-ish trip hop shit at the grenada. lol

Pshhh....this track is better than just about everything Diplo played at that last show. Shit was garbage. Don't charge me 15 bucks to play mediocre at best bmore club remixes that all sound the same and were hot in '04, and to make up for it, put some guy on stage in a pizza costume. You could tell he was just going through the motions getting that check....what a weak set. Not like Ooah last time we were out there. He was murderous.

Yea the 30 minutes of it you were there for!!!!! j/k his set was planned out ahead of time. That's what most DJs who carry a name like him do for their tours, apparently. You're better off catching him or any other big name at a one off type of show. Kinda like Keith Murray at the record bar a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure KM wasn't on tour for that show, I'm pretty sure Beatbroker brought him straight out from NY for that one. MSTRKRFT did a show at the grenada around the same time Diplo did, but for the afterparty at the Taproom, MSTRKRFT played some insane shit, from what I heard, stuff that wouldn't have worked at their main show at the grenada probably. Let me ask you guys this: what were you hoping Diplo would play? Bottom line: Diplo wasn't there to play what you guys wanted to hear, specifically, but he did mix it up, and you would've seen that if you would've stayed around longer.

Also, I missed the first 15 minutes or so of his set, but the part I caught had some highlites and definitely some lowlights. His set the first time through Lawrence was way better IMO. He did play a couple of the heaviest dubstep tracks I've ever heard.

Boosy, according to my students, means whack. They say it all the time. That and go hard. I didn't know what it meant before I started teaching there either, but it's hard not to use it from time to time now. Fellas, all this boils down to is personal preference. My personal preference at the moment are rugged-ass beats that make me want to snarl and break shit. That's what I enjoy attempting to make at my crib or at Dubs, and it's what I enjoy listening to. That is not what I saw at the Diplo show. My expectations were much higher, but it goes back to me being selfish and wanting to hear my type of shit, which I'm well aware not everybody else is down with. Yeah we left early, so what?! I was personally bored, getting tired and wanted to bounce. Big fucking deal.

Whoa! Diplo fanboys are hardcore! [quote:6ce4b0fe0d]You only stuck around for 30 minutes of his show!!!!!!! I even sent you a text after you left to tell you he started playing the 85 bpm-ish trippy stuff(what you call "grimey shit") about 20 minutes after you left!!!!!! [/quote:6ce4b0fe0d] Simply untrue. It was just under an hour I think through Diplo's set and we looked at each other, yawned, and made that oh so fun drive back from lawrence. Which proves my point even more, One hour and 20 minutes into a guys set he plays something I "might" have liked.....weak. And as much as I hate the labeling of genres/sub-genres, if you're going to throw them out, at least get them right. Trip-hop is not grimey, it's artists like massive attack, and morcheeba...both of which i love, but get your facts straight once again, it throws people off. [quote:6ce4b0fe0d]And I'm not about to bite on this proposed two man, Glitch Mob vs. Diplo debate either. [/quote:6ce4b0fe0d] When was this debate proposed? I simply compared to 2 times I've ever been with you to the L for a non hip hop DJ. First time was 6 dollars and murderous, last time, well, 15 dollars and garbage. [quote:6ce4b0fe0d]Let me ask you guys this: what were you hoping Diplo would play? [/quote:6ce4b0fe0d] As a DJ myself, when I pay good money to see someone else play some songs, it better get me more hype than I can get playing records by myself in my studio, or listening to a mix cd i made in my car. Diplo failed. His set consisted of cookie cutter, run of the mill garbage. I'm not impressed by an 808, generic bmore club break, and then a sample layed out on a midi keyboard and pressed repeatedly over and over and over in varying tempos......can you say PLAYED OUT? That stupid generic remix of smells like teen spirit? That stuff was fun when z-trip mashed that stuff ages ago, and i think the last good remix i heard of nirvana was adam freeland's so long ago.. And when Diplo was bringing the bmore club stuff to the mainstream like 4 or 5 years ago this stuff would have been cool. Not now, playing the same beat for an hour, on some cd's, the damage had been done for me. he could have played everyone of my favorite songs ever after we left, and i don't care, i was so fucking bored, watching underage hipsters dance around to generic shit that simply wasn't good at all. Diplo's, piracy funds terrorism promo mix as well as the santogold promo mix were all over the place and i loved those, as well as florida, and quite a few other mixes i've had over the years.....but that shit at the granasty was simply not my scene. If it was yours, more power to ya. [quote:6ce4b0fe0d] Uhhh I'm not up on all the new slang[/quote:6ce4b0fe0d] Either am I, what does this talk of my ass hurting mean? Call me crazy, I'm just not impressed by the 808, bmore club break, shittily punched sample formula. He can do much better, and if that his new steez, than I'm probably not going to catch anymore of his shows out there. Just like I won't see another Mr. Dibbs show....he has all of his mashups pre pressed on the right table, and just scratches on the left. Same deal, ridiculously talented dj's that I've always looked up to, that just seem to take an easy route to get that check.

With the way the internet and blogs are (and love garden, for that matter), it's not that hard to get a grasp of the type of stuff you can expect to hear at someone's show, even a DJ's.

And the award for the world's biggest Barbaric Merits hater goes to...*drumroll*.......... Ben, what in THE fuck are you talking shit about? I posted this video for Chris because he's the biggest bmore club fan I know and thought he would get a kick out of the pretty hilarious dancing from those dudes. Then he takes some jab back at me about my ass hurting because Diplo didn't play trippy shit for me at the last show (which still has yet to be explained to me and makes absolutely no sense). Now here you are turning that into some huge personal attack on our credibility and character. I'm shitting on Mad Decent??? When i said Sgt. Sass would probably be on there soon, I thought that was a pretty apparent case of sarcasm, which you probably would've got if you weren't too busy jumping on the first opportunity you could to be the e-hardass/know it all guy on an internet forum. I'm shitting on Diplo??? I've been a huge fan of his for years. But I was bored off my ass for his last show. I can stand about one bmore club track in a 60 min set and it better be a good one. Him playing like 45 min straight of that shit is not my steez. For such a diverse dj, he focused on my least favorite genre for way too long to get my 15 bucks worth. I don't know how many other ways i can explain that. So you're a mad decent artist? Realistically I think we can say you're pretty far down the food chain so it seems to me you're trying to do this whole "in hopes of climbing the ladder, I will defend mad decent and diplo at all costs" thing, even though you're really having to stretch some shit to use as ammunition. So we're just a couple of biters? We have absolutely no credibility. All we do is copy other people's shit as best we can? LMAO. Let's be honest. you didn't just go listen to some of our stuff and make all these opinions because baltimore club bores me. I have a sneaky feeling you've checked us out some time ago and quickly formed your opinion that you were going to hate on us...and that has been brewing for some time and this seemed like the best opportunity for you to flame. You crack me up. I have absolutely no idea who you are. I don't listen to any of your music. And certainly wouldn't know who the fuck you are if you were standing right next to me. But apparently you are an expert on us. You're coming at us with some straight up jealous ex-girlfriend bitch shit, and I think it's a fair bet you've been waiting to do it for some time. What is this crap about challenging us to start making Baltimore club music? Why in the hell would i want to do that? I think it has about as much room to evolve as country music. Are you challenging us to start making dance music because you think we're some sort of competition for you? That it totally not our scene, but I would bet we could knock out bmore club bangers quicker than you could pick up scratching. I guess thanks for the compliment by comparison. Ghislain is pretty hit or miss for me, but ooah is one nasty fucker. If you would have stalked us a little harder you could have found our most popular song from this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SAssRzwElg It obviously is a total glitch mob rip off, because that's the only music we make and play. Well congrats on burning bridges before they've been built. Good luck to you and your making of dance music (which of course sounds like nothing that's ever been done right?)

I understand it if people wanna criticize, judge or talk shit on me. I've said alot of crazy things on this site. But it shocked me that someone has the gall to disrespect someones craft, based on opinions that person has. Especially not even being in the same league or category (music wise).? 2. The same people who talk shit on me, (never in my face) didn't step up to defend or stick up for Mythik and Dublow either. Thise same people should have put Ben in his place with a simple......... "Have you heard, "[u:ca62f4e3cc]Coming Back Around[/u:ca62f4e3cc]"?" 3. Lastly, its sad that people are followers, and can't think for themselves. I mean, its funny when they form opinions about people over some internet shit. I hope ya'll don't choose your music, movies, and/or porn selections, by 10-30 sec intros/clips...... Im on a whole notha level than that, if thats the case. Meaning....I don't watch clips, Get the whole movie nigga. I'm glad I meet people, at least once, before I judge them. I had no idea we were being serious. [b:ca62f4e3cc] Thats Bootsy![/b:ca62f4e3cc]

People rebuke more than they praise. Everyone and everything. It seems that if anyone has an opinion, and if that dont go along with what a hand full of people, that consider themselves the norm or popular (POP), then you are wrong and get criticized. I know if anyone would have said shit about Joe Good or Ces Cru, there would have been mad and mad people jumpin down kats throat. People don't have to like what Mythik and Dublow do, but respect what they are doing. This is more "their" site than "his"....(my opinion) Hip Hop, not Club Jams, or whatever he does. But what it boils down to is how other people outside the site and KC view this nonsense. It took me making some (a few) wild post, almost losing friends (over typed words), and a hard convo with some people that wanna see me do good, and think I should leave this site alone. Before I realized that people outside Kansas City, and outside of HIPHOPKC.com, view this site and Ace Fadal as some sort of joke or game. In the end I still stood by my word, but I let the person know what it is I meant....Face to Face. I'm serious about my music. But this internet beef shit is for High Schoolers. So it was good to see someone else saying stupid shit for a change. We, HHKC.com, lack unity, as far as it goes for reppin one shitty. Seems only "crews" are on one accord. The Ice Storm needs to stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!! peas af
