Copywrite is the most disrespectful and unprofessional motherfucker that I've ever met. That being said, c'mon peeps! That shit afterward was so crazy and could have escalated to another level. I will not discuss details because we at The Record Bar do not promote violence to solve petty disputes. Beatbroker, you are a classy guy. Seriously, you kept your composure and dealt with that bullshit in such a manner that I was proud to be cool with you. I'm sure that all will hear about it by tomorrow because based on Copywrite's past, he's an easy guy to mark but Hip Hop shows are going to be scrutinized based on the fact that we were barely able to contain the problem. Shit, I'm a bartender! at no point do I need to bounce people out of a bar and beg my FRIENDS not to react in violence. This bar closes at 1:30. It's 3 now and I just finished my closing work because I dealt with this stupid shit all night. CES Cru is a monster of a group! They were the highlight of my night AND stuck around to make sure that everything was okay. Thanks again Drew. I almost lost my MOTHERFUCKING job tonight! A place where my two friends are my bosses based on the fact that people don't understand what forum to express their aggression in. -Vertigone

So... what when down is a secret?

As the story was told to me... (if you were there feel free to correct any part of this) Copyrite was being a drunken fool all night. He got flown in, paid up front, and when that dude's performance time comes round, he's nowhere to be found. Dirge has to go find his ass to put him on stage. Dude gets up on stage, clowning about how he got paid up front and doesn't really need to perform, being hella disrespectful, stumbles through a few verses, completely blanks, and gets booed off stage. Broker gets his money back from Copyrite, rightfully so. Copyrite, being drunk and indignant, gets at Broker in an aggressive way that gets him booted from the bar. Outside, the local fans seeming not to appreciate the way he was behaving, beat his ass. (this is hearsay) He runs away, gets beat down again, and found by the cops later. Like I said, I wasn't there, but that's the story I got.

Props to Drew for keeping his composure like he did too, that deserves recognition and respect to be able to carry yourself like that and not immediately pull a Kimbo on dude. I still have the image of Copywrite's dumb ass getting chased across the parking lot etched into my head. I normally never condone violence, but I had to stick around afterwards to see that dude get popped a couple times. Some nerve.....

dammit dammit dammit. i thought he left. now i'm kind've sad. i would've caught less sleep for work this morning just to see that.

i think it should have been ended after his ass got thrown off stage. that got the point across and he deserved it. anything beyond that was unnecessary.

this subject should be dropped for good. out of respect for Shawn and Steve and the good people at the record bar. We dont want such a great venue to quit doing hiphop.

I agree with Trystyl! I just hope that nobody EVER, NEVER EVER brings Copywrite and Vast Aire back to Kansas City. Peace Peeps.
