The word on the street is that Blueprint 3 will be ENTIRELY produced by Kanye....we'll see! my boy Reach will probably agree that Jay is UNTOUCHABLE right now

i'ma say he grabs a couple joints from Tim and maybe a joint from Just, i don't think Kanye will do the whole thing.

Not after hearing that song. I might be alone, but that song is awful.

Reach, I kind of agree. I have to give it a few more listens still....for some reason on the video it sounded much cooler.

This is the first time in my life where I've basically thought the new Jay-Z song was trash. The Vimeo video sounded cool as hell. The recorded version sucks cack.

interesting difference of opinions, I'm feeling the song. I don't LOVE it, but to say it's trash is kinda harsh!

I don't LOVE it, but to say it's trash is kinda harsh![/quote:20f8e387e3] Dude, Jay conditioned me as a rapper. There is not a rapper I am a fan of, out right now, who has an opinion on Jay-Z that is negative. Example-- I was honestly turned off to Joe Budden when he started lashing out at Jigga. It seemed bitter and unwarranted, and I have always been one to defend artists who I feel deserve respect and should not have harsh words spoken about them. Enter: Jigga. I rode for Blueprint 2 HARD. American Gangster was an easy album for me to like-- he was SHREDDING it on that album. I even rode for fucking KINGDOM COME. That album is like the universal "he fell off" record for Jay-Z. I seriously, still, enjoy all of those previously mentioned those albums without forcing myself too. On those albums Jay conditioned me to be a harsh critic. So let me be a harsh critic. I will not purchase the new Jay-Z album if it as weak as this "Jockin Jay-Z" shit is. I loved the live video I saw. Thought Jay was going to finally shut everyone up. Instead, I am not only NOT interested in his new album, but like Reach, I am WORRIED about JIGGA. Seems impossible. Whatever, he better take the gloves off and unload some rounds on people, or he's in trouble. I don't hate any type of genre. I'm not a huge fan of Cool Kids/hipster rap. I don't really fuck with much underground stuff. I dislike most indy-rock. I only really mess with music that has honest merit, and is venomously artistic, which Jay has ALWAYS effortlessly created. This ain't it, man.

And at this point...I feel cheated with the new record.

As Reach says below, he has definitely spoiled us. His last 2 albums are certifiable classics in my opinion, so it's not like I have a great argument bolstering the idea that Jay fell off or anything. I just genuinely can't find an angle to approach this song to make me like it. Like... I don't like it. I honestly won't even solicit my opinion on it anymore, because I don't wanna come off as a hater. I love Jay. I just... yeah. No. We'll see though. I will listen to the record.
