The New Nas Track Be a N___A has been causing controvery, but what are your thoughts on it?? http://www.zshare.net/audio/10905878d798063e/

Aesthetically I love it. It's Nas back on his bullshit. Conceptually I don't know that it delivered the way he intended it to. At a point it seems to drift away from the message and become an overly gratuitous usage of the word "nigger". Didn't NY Oil do this kind of record already though?

i think that Nas ever since "Hip Hop is dead" hes been using shock value and controversy to keep his career afloat, and to keep people interested....I mean seriously... who the f*ck names their album Nigger? ....... Nigger?!?! ........ Are you kidding? As good as he is, I don't know why hes using these kind of tactics. I bet you his next cd is gonna be called "Death to the White Man" ... *shakes head* Nas.... cmon dude....

It's a cool song. The gratuitous use of racial slurs does nothing for me one way or the other, but the rhymes are pretty sick. Nas is as Nas does.

Now I have to say, I like NAS, but I'm not sure the exact message he was thinking of when he was naming the album. It just seems to be heading backwards in some way? He may intended otherwise, but was unclear to an extent. I'm still working on my thoughts. Here is a youtube video of NYOIL on Nas: Untitled since it was mentioned in previous posts. I love this album, cover to cover....I think it's his best, most cohesive effort since It Was Written 12 some odd years ago. I don't expect everyone to feel this album and I don't think it's meant for everyone to feel. The production is solid, the lyrics are thought provoking and intelligent and Nas continues to step his game up. "Queens Get the Money", "Hero", "Fried Chicken", and "Ni**er" are my personal faves...but, to each his own! PS Gotta give KUDOS for "Sly Fox"!

5 years from now maybe not, becuase it's so based in current events, but at the moment I think Untitled is the best NaS album EVER! It's doper than shit and one of the only albums to actually stay on subject. Best track to me is "Ya'll My N****s" and "Hero" is a banger. edit: I didn't finish my original sentence lol, but in 5 years my favorite will probably be God's Son or Stillmatic again.

I too am bored with the new Nas. The Carter Three though, is worse than boring, I have never in my life heard a more horrific waste of some good production in my life, ever in my life, he sounds like a wounded weasel whining like he is insane or just retarded. What in THE F*ck is the attraction to his whine / talking over a track ? theres something in the water.

havent heard the new Nas. Heard Nigga, its real.... Seen him on Colbert Report. That was dope. Signed that petition. I don't watch Fox or anything affiliated with FOX including the Simpsons, which is drawn in India by Indian artist now, Greonig outsourced.... btw. I still have my space though. Pimp the system? any way. Little Wayne uninspires me. I can see why people say Hip Hop is dead. not hating. just number one song for a minute was about bottle poppin. Now I cant tell you how many producers wished they woulda looped a milli...mi.milli mim million. a milli m m m i llion. that song is bullshit. i personally think little wayne for messing up hip hop hes kid that puts too much sugar in the kool aid, he is not the new rakim, I rebuke that in the name of jesus! where are my people going?

I mouthing words I don't agree with, concepts that are demeaning to women and men I have big hope for. so i'm feelin this in a BIG way. my 2 cents mc's are the hood's reporters i buy that

Picked it up today. Its the Truth. I can truly and completely understand why people ain't feeling it. Its too much real talk. Too much truth. People can't handle that. What did he say? "People only want bling...... I take off my chain." Ni**a WOW, Nas grew up alot. I respect him for taking responsibility for something. I might not be banging my head to every track, but I feel like I'm learning something. Stand for something, or fall for anything. CD is like a big brother or older homie talking at you.
