I don't follow the Wizards, but if they have, I apologize to their fans... My father passed away last Wednesday, and I wrote something on my blog about how my dad and I always enjoyed sports together and how I wish I could've enjoyed watching last night's game with him at home. Coincidentally, his funeral was last night also... check it: http://www.demencha.com

I'm really sorry Chris. Growing up sucks sometime. I wish that I could have watched a championship game with my father as well. My friend, I truly have empathy for you.

my condolences. my dad just gave up our chiefs season tickets. i'm a little sad about it, but it's gonna be a few years before they're in contention again. the wizards won the cup in 2000, and lost in 2004 (albeit with a questionable handball in there). we won the supporters shield (most regular season wins) in 2000 as well, and were runners-up in 1997 and 2004. we've never dropped below 6th place, though, and the league's gone from 10-14 teams in that time. so i think that's decent. anyway, i've become a big fan in the past 2 years or so. there's a game tomorrow night, 7pm, and we're leading the league after 2 games... with a chance, i think, to extend that because new england has some key injuries. anyway, i'm shutting up. that ku game looked intense, i only turned it on to check the score, and watched a little of it in the gym... but caught the best moments towards the end.
