so the wizards' season started. the home opener was sold out so i just watched on tv, but we beat DC 2-0, which is very satisfying. i think most kc fans consider dc our biggest rival.
our new high dollar player (Claudio Lopez a.k.a. El Piojo, The Louse) scored a goal, and so did another new guy. so hopefully those will both turn out to be sound investments.
anyway, would any of you be interested in coming out some time (they're playing where the t-bones play, out by legends, this year), holler. saturday's a home match vs. colorado. should be a good match, colorado made some big moves in the offseason and will probably be better this year, and they play pretty physically, so there'll be enough to be pissed off about. 7pm.
maybe at some point if we get enough people going out, we can start our own supporters' group.

i'm not sure if anyone read this, but this week's game time has changed to 4pm due to the KU basketball game. weird decision, if you ask me.

also, DC United plays mexican side Pachuca tonight at 9pm on Fox Soccer Channel... i might go to mccoy's or embassy or somewhere to try to catch it.

I checked the opener out on tv. T-Bones park is a much better venue than Arrowhead for the Wizards. It seemed like the pitch was really, really narrow though, like they were playing at Highbury.
