   first sunday visit to the peanut tonight and i got floored a bit. i heard d/will on the beats and i had no idea. dude is tight. hearing him tonight...he can definitely make some shit that'll get people excited. anybody working with that dude...PUSH HIM. he's on some shit.

   D-Will's tight! Yeah, I second that, and put a third on that as well. Dude's beats are knocking. He's got sick lyrics, his work ethic is hella disciplined, pretty much just needs the right opportunity and it's over.

   Sorry I missed the show last night. I was reeling from being up for 30+ hours straight the day before. I'm sure all went well though. D's on his way to doing great, great things. SP's definitely got him...No question about that.

   word man i've heard most everything D has on deck, so he def has a diverse collection of beats as well as a dope lineup of emcees he's putting in work with. but dont get it miscontrued (not that you necessarily have) SP isn't just on that "soul shit". dope that you came out, we need to return the favor soon.

    i would have been able to add somethin about the peanut yesterday to this post but that place is on some BULLSHITT now. not only did they not let me in but they had a fuckin blue suit outside scopin to see if i was drinkin. i know that doesnt mean much to most of you but that pissed me off. ive never had trouble gettin into the peanut before. fuck that, but i guess its for the best so they wont have another brawl again.. but i dont know man

Only after I read it did i realize that the situation and how it is now, could have been worse. (thats why the shits edited on the no upstairs post huh?)     i don't really see why the articles have created such a big stink. i thought both articles did a good job highlighting how rare this type of incident is for kc hip hop. i don't think it's fair to blame losing the upstairs on jenee or nadia who have both given significant press to many artists in our community. truthfully, we haven't really had upstairs privileges for a long time now. what happened sucks, but bar fights happen. geeze, i saw one nearly every weekend when i went to hardcore/metal shows! let's just all be more aware and commited to keeping a positive environment and i believe things will work themselves out. barbaric merits, please get a saturday night gig!! we need something to do!
