In this lovely business of entertainment that we are in, we come across some plain flat out ingnorant people. I would have to say during my time in this business ive seen clubs rise in which their owners get rich and watched them fall as they have to sell all their assests just to eat. Just recently we were negotaiting a wednesday nite at Sharky's here in Topeka. They wanted us to DJ Retro 80's / college night at their bar. Their owners were very direct in saying that they didnt want no hip hop music played at his club because "he didnt want black people at his club". They said thats why Juls nightclub went under because the played HIP HOP MUSIC......... They called me later in the week and told me they didn't want me to DJ at their club because Deuce Alley Productions ( whos page they read on myspace)is promoting the night with me....They said he knows too many peole that are not white and he advertises to the wrong type of people......I was raised to respect a mans opinion even if he's wrong. It's really sad to see in this day and age that people are still very narrow minded and ingnorant in their views. At a club I'm DJing we welcome everyone wither black, white, red, yellow, orange or blue. Green is the only color you should be concerned with. And for the crowds that i've seen at SHARKY'S it doesnt look you will be seeing much of this color. So i wish you luck with your racist establishment !!!!!! You wont be gettin any business from my community or the people i reach and i'm like united nations over here. The people that I reach look just like you too.
