I know I asked this before but I don't remember the answer.... I just want to know....where can I get a good 8 pad midi controller at....and what would yall say is a pretty reliable brand and/ or model to look into?

I would check the MPD24 if you want some knobs and sliders too, Akai also makes the MPD16 which is as basic as it gets, but half the price. Another option if you just want pads and the extra option of a sampler and sequencer you might check ebay for an ASR X which you can get for not much more than a MPD24 and it will of course work as a regular midi controller with the proper connection (midi i/o on sound card or a usb midi cable). It all depends what you want and what you think will fit your style and budget best. For keys, pads, knobs, and sliders those CME controllers have been getting good reviews....Korg and Akai also have controllers like that, but only go up to 49 keys. Just a tip I'd steer clear of M-Audio. I've tried a few of their products and found them to be buggy consumer garbage. Some people love their products, but I had a USB midi controller that XP kept losing and an audio interface that the drivers would reboot my computer at random..
