maybe all the sourness ran them off? maybe not. I think its ironic you care about folks comings and goings. maybe its lonely without an audience for the rants and posturing. made me leave
everything is not a hot topic worth BIG jousts over.
guess some folks just gotta have controversy before they feel at home.
most of the folks gone are working, living life, and making art.
At first the ranting all the time made me upset then tired then bored then gone.
I've said the site is for everyone so in away I stood by freedom of speech and rants and watched people leave. even have had some interesting conversations with folks about who you are and whether you are a plant, or using a alias to create havoc and dissention on this board, and of course about letting you be a moderator. I own that one, my bad. I have learned from it.
no answers only guesses, but to those who have stop coming by for a chat

The scene is getting back to basics and playing small ball again.
Look at The Events section.
Very few performances listed.
But HeetMob's back with an Open Mic Night...
Fewer show opps, but the farm system's back out front for younger/less experienced acts to earn their stripes and get some exposure.
We've gotten back to Square One.
It's a painful process, but necessary right now.
The traffic will return in time.

i find most of the discussions boring.
I dont usually care about so and so's new song or who is in jail or who is battling whom. My focus in more on KC artists.
I'd rather people talk more about what they are doing, but it seems most people arent doing much.

"Create The Buzz" became the home for self-promotion.
And I think that sub-forum is seeing plenty of traffic.
Community Chatter is for broader more general discussion.
That's where political discussions, industry discussions and media goes more often than not.
I just don't think there's been much hearty discussion taking place as of late. That's the difference I think. It's an ebb and flow though. Things will pick back up.

Man.. maybe I'm oversimplifying, but do people have to have mad discussions all the time?
I don't think it's attributed to folks running away or boredom, or beef or whatever...
People just don't feel like posting somethimes. Ain't nothing wrong with it. Not everyone feels like talking everyday. That's how I am personally. They'll be droughts. The resource for communication is here and it is known, so I think that's what is important.

I'm from the south.. 18 yrs deep. I'm loving the change to snow. We used to pray for snow as kids and got it like once.
