With a post like this, you're certainly not enticing anyone else to click on your previous thread about the Jena 6. I understand your frustration at what you perceive as a lack of support for this very important cause, but I would wager that the majority of people who post on this board aren't currently students, therefore your previous post about the walk-out does not apply to them. Anyway, making broad generalizations about "zombie people" and saying "I hate you" isn't going to persuade a damn person. Keep doing what you're doing on the education tip if you're passionate about this issue, but leave posts like this inside your head. Better yet, channel that anger and frustration into doing more about the Jena 6's situation.

I clicked your link and it took me to nothing? Anyway I heard the dude got bail. Americans might care more if racism wasn't so delluted. What do I mean? People getting up in arms about what a shock jock says, a QB who fights dogs & fails drug test, ect. all made into a huge racial issue/ media circus. Then when something really goes down everyone is tired of all the stupid bullshit. The country is torn enough over a war don't think they can give in much more. With that being said.. The south is fucked up, the leaders are horrible I wouldn't even let them run a supermarket let alone government.

The anger, the frustration, comes from the fact 5 people even clicked the link. The rest of the rant was sarcasm for a dramatic effect, did it work? You responded. And more people have clicked this link, than the one thats been up all day. So that means...... Only 5 people Checked Hip Hop Kc all day, which really freakin sucks, we really need to get the word out about this site.... or...... only 5 people (out of the hundreds who check here everyday) care about anymore info concerning the Jena 6 and the rest here only care about that b.s. az read a book video, Bill O's ignant ass and the rest of the commercial world. Thats whats important? So you could be right about the post not having meaning to anyone whos not in school. But There is no excuse for no one even checking. It just seems like people are sleep. So yeah Zombie, awake but sleep. Sleep Sheep. Baaaaaa! Its sad....anyway! The rest of the rant was sarcasm for a dramatic effect, did it work? You responded. And more people have clicked this link, than the one thats been up all day. Baaaa! I say. I bet this thread has more clicks than the first post on Jena today! Baaa. Yeah its fucking delluted alright.....Stop watching FOX. Is that your lame ass excuse or a cop out? If you can let the actions of an athelete keep you from doing what right or wrong, you got issues. [quote:5474727dc2]Mainstream media outlets long ignored the Jena 6 or gave the case cursory summations. Their silence shows how mainstream journalists remain unwilling to tackle the issue of race. At best, racism is addressed when it is overt and simplistic. Mix in the institutionalized racism of a town's criminal justice system, and journalists' eyes glaze over. When what happened in Jena has been reported, the media's language has been tepid. It presumes a legitimacy to both sides. Yet there is nothing balanced or fair about what is happening to these boys. Black Americans crave the same outrage the media rained down on Michael Vick for his unjustified abuse of dogs.[/quote:5474727dc2] But see? You did help me understand why certain types of non minority people look at me, the same way they did for a month after the O.J. simpson not guilty verdict. Like "Whos side are you on?" was he guilty? "How do you feel about the Don Imus thing?" I will say it again and again, "It aint my fault!" White Americans need to know where I stand, s o they can judge me and my feelings about my people and my culture. I cant even talk about this at work because it gets heated. People think that they (Jena 6)should go to jail for a long time. They don't get the fact that nooses were hung, and how racist these actions were. They say shit like, "How is [u:5474727dc2]that[/u:5474727dc2] racist?" Then people like you try to downplay the whole situation by lumping all Black "Current Events" into one category. Like, "Well this is the antics for this month." "There they go again, wanting people to feel sorry for them, but they do ignorant stuff!" Then people like Jesse or Al get involved and it becomes your so-called circus. I don't disagree with him going downthere, I just think its time for a new Black Leader othere than JJ or Al S. they gots baggage, Thats a whole nother topic tho. Most people have been acting like Mike Vic, Was Talking to O.J. planning on running game in Las Vegas and doing it right after the Protest in Jena, but plans got mixed up cause niggas is dumb, and they had to be at the VMAs. Fuck dat! Its best if you just be quiet, less you know what you are talking about. Your words are shit to me! UNDERSTAND? You Make alot less sense than I do with your mumblings. FYI your President is from the South, or he claims. Hes actually from Indiana. He is runnin mad shit. Gangsta like! The country hasnt given enough sympathy, soul or retribution not to care. You congress is going to give your leader the dough to invade Iran,(I predicted this, check the post), money that could give health care to alot of needy children..... I digresss however..... I still want an Apology for Slavery from someone in charge, of this country.... right now! That begans the healing. REPARATIONS BITCH! [color=blue:5474727dc2]God bless America?[/color:5474727dc2] God has blessed America...how have they thanked him. by killing or persecuting all the Brown people, anyone "non-christian", gay, female, poor, and ESPECIALLY the Muslims! POINT.. IF YOU CARED YOU WOULD'VE CHECKED THE POST. 5 PEOPLE HERE GIVE A FLYING FUCK ALL DAY! CONVICE ME ELSEWISE! people only care about themselves and the now. Oh check the ratio this post/positive post 60:12 thats bullshit!

Why the fuck do I need to know where you stand to judge you? Fuck judging people just giving my opinon. To show the ignorance of the situation in Jena some are comparing those 6 to the likes of Rosa Parks & Blacks that were able to obatin the right for blacks to vote, tell me that isn't fucked up? Those kids come nowhere close, Do I feel sorry for them? Yea they definatly didn't deserve such a harsh sentence. Atleast we can both agree Blacks need a new leader, shit MLK was great he brought everyone together and did HUMANITY a favor not just one race. I hope Obama wins for the democrats he's smart and can bring whites and blacks together. This country is terribly divided not only from Rich to Poor but Pro-War to Anti-War, White-To Black. I wish the kids in the south were more educated/mature theres a way to handle racial differences without taunts and beatings, I'm trying to reach out here and keep a dialouge clearly Ace & I have some differences but his opinon on this matter is respected by me and I hope more African-American members chime in so I can get an idea of what it's like to be black in America.

This is grass roots baby. this is only the start! this whole shit is the Rosa Parks of the Justice system. enough is enough. More people in prison that any other country 2.4 million. 70% of the incarcerated population is minority. 85% incarcerated over non violent drug related charges. 78% of inmates return to actions of previous crime, only to be reincarcerated with a longer sentence. 45% incarcerated inmates, confined for life are BLACK and under the age of 23! 60% of inmates claim the can present evidence to "get them off" 80% of that evidence denied. 95% by a jury or judge thats non-minority More niggas on death row, than niggas in rehab! You do the math! again..fuck u enough is enough is enough! Specially in a racist cop town. fuck u I wish it was as nice as the Rosa Days. But this is the new shit, nigga! get wise! Prove to me that America cares, let alone the Suburbian HipHop community! yeah ace i feel you on the last post. i've lately been studying the social institutions surrounding the 60's movement and i believe we are at a moment in history where the conditions are lining up to potentially create real movement. i do agree that the catalyst is/could be the so called justice system and it's disfunction. things are incredibly insecure and growing increasingly uncomfortable for many americans; we are in a completely unsupported war (the last figure i heard was 11% support), our foreign policy relations are extremely shaky, racial tension is mounting for all groups, many people are doing what they always do in insecure times and clinging to religious fundementalism, there is a growing rift beteween the haves and the have-nots, the list goes on and on. the only things missing are a draft and a key assassination and time will tell... the thing is that all pretty much all social movements since the civil rights era have been situational. there is no unified voice or concept of where we are and where we want to be. (is there? if so let me know) the anger is staying at an emotional/situational/personal level. if we will ever get out of this coffee shop revolutionary, fad, situational activism we have to dive in intellectually. the civil rights movement as well as (and as important as) the black power/militant movement is praised by scholars as the best model of social change this country has ever (maybe will ever) seen. even though scholars also recognize that the fight is nowhere near over. black intellectualism is outstanding in this country. i also think it is vital that people of all races begin to look beyond their specific communities and issues. the powers that be count on (and play on) the separation that comes from social categories and cultural difference.. ok i'm stepping off my rant what do people think? are we on the brink of a new era in civil rights? do we want to be?
