KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Aug. 19, 2007| Chili’s Grill & Bar has announced that for the month of September, National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, that they will organize musicians from across the state of Missouri for the [i:6c0efeea62]St. Jude's Benefit Concert[/i:6c0efeea62] on Sunday, September 16th, 2007 at The Beaumont Club (in Westport) where proceeds will go to the [b:6c0efeea62]St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital[/b:6c0efeea62]. The event is but one effort in a month long campaign to meet the national goal of donating $5 million dollars to St. Jude.
Performing artists include Kansas City Rap acts Trajik, Below Zero & Reach alongside turntablist DJ Ataxic, Dollhouse Rumor, Reggae band Jahration, and Union, Missouri Rock-outfit Paradigm Grip (among others). Support efforts begin with the $10 admission price for the benefit, but will also include donations, t-shirts, the official Chili’s/St. Jude‘s dog tags and the “Create A Pepper†promotion where diners have the opportunity to donate $1 or more to ‘create a pepper’ that will be displayed at all local participating Chili’s restaurants.
