I had to sell a few records today, and it got me to thinking... Who collects them? Who savors them? What have you picked up lately? What's on your turntable right now? I would like for this to be the official thread for vinyl-related discussion. For me personally, the last find was Roy Ayers "He's Coming," which I have been enjoying a lot lately. Broke out some 45s the other day incl. Lloyd Price "They Get Down," which is severely underrated in my opinion. Other than that, been listening to the Artifacts' debut and Bo Hansson's "Magician's Hat" pretty heavily lately. RECORD HEADS STAND UP!

Darrell is definitely the dude... he was playing this mix in the store today that by track selection alone I could have sworn was yours! But he wouldn't sell me minty copies of both "Us" by Maceo Parker and a super fresh copy of the Smoke album (KC soul private press '76) under the auspice that they were reserved for the store owner! Not that I could have afforded the Smoke LP anyway... You know me though Will, I have bought records from you before... needless to say if I have any spare scratch this weekend I will most definitely be hitting you up. Everyone else, thanks for sharing... JKR, looks like you are a soundtrack fiend... ever get into any Lalo Schifrin? Dude is insane.

i got the enter the dragon soundtrack, that soundtrack is crazy. i also has one of his jazz records from the 60's im letting go. Smoke is one of the few lp's that i want i got an offer to get one for 80 dollars for someone, but i can't drop cash like that. I'm buying out 2 collections in october so i gotta make room for it. I got alot of mint 80's hip hop a few weeks ago and I'm working to make it a quarterly thing where i sell records out the house or if people are looking for records, i can try to find them through my network of dealers and collectors. I'f i can get my pictures developed, i have some pictures of a record digging trip i took on my birthday through the midwest where i met some classic soul singers from the 60's and went to some crazy record stores and flea markets. plus my prices arent going to be crazy. i can work with any budget and i am flexible and wont tax or overcharge for records i rather dal with people locally than ebay peace dj shad comming soon urban soul record's, cd's,and toys for the dj and music lover by music lovers
