When you get something from Z-Share there are like two pop up screens and 2 to 3 ads. The scripts allow the ad companies to basically trace your the sites you visit by your I.P. address. Then they try to pitch you with more spam and ads in your email or sell the info to other companies. 😉 FYI

Damn Joker you went all over the place with your track, it's crazy and has quite a few parts that would make killer tracks alone. Mac the main groove you have is real good. That one part sounds like that one techno song that always gets played at sporting events, not sure if you did that on purpose or not, but that's what it reminded me of.

I think a competition would be cool. We would have to promote it as one so people could/ would vote. It seems like "non-beat making people" are listening to the submissions but only the people involved are commenting. The post has over 300 views. So somebodys peepin?
  43. Sep 6, 2007 03:04am by Boogie_B - www.myspace.com/headfella Location: kansas
yeah we should do a judging one sometime.. and we could have a pole at the end of the deadline with all the producers names that did a beat. and people will vote and then everyone can leave feedback. thatd be fun. friendly competition.

A few comments about the last several submissions... It's interesting that both Mac and Ace thought to double-time this sample. I never would've gotten that vibe, but that's why we do this... I dug both of those tracks. DM, RM and Head Fella all came with that early-90's flavor. DM and RM more on the Beatminer side. HF on the Premier side. DR.T sped the sample up and did some nice chopwork. The sax was a nice touch. Your track had a Premo vibe to it too... Overall... Good work again fellas.

I personally will flip whatever anyone posts whenever they post a song to sample, contest or not, I just love to try new things and sample songs I may not have originally selected. Know what I mean. peas-

The track is an anthem to say the least and has more than enough breaks in it.

You already seem to have an ideal about how your going to flip the song. I think it should be someone that isnt going to be in the contest to post a new song. We should all be able to know a day or before the song is posted, how long you have to flip your steez, and then the final day of posting.

If I post the song to sample I will not compete if that's what everyone wants. It will be worth it to hear what everyone else does, and I'll still make a beat from it anyway. Before any song is posted the rules need to be set up and a place to upload files and all that. The contest deal could make this just for fun thing become less fun.

try to keep the structuring as loose as possible. what I love so much about the sample challenges and the results of is the friendship, discussion, critiquing, and shear fun of the thang. keep these elements in mind as you set your structure, take into account the time factors of when the beat is posted, production and the reposting of individual beats the one thing I would strongly suggest, is a unified place for the repost. tracking down all the beats in 7 different places is hair raising at best , but damn worth it I want to add. I will do whatever is needed from me to make this fly tally ho maestros. can't hardly wait. nrg

Thanks NRG. I had an idea of setting up another account on Soundclick.com. Its free and we could upload as many songs as we like. We could also post links here direct to the music and/or embed the player for easy access. The thing is to upload you would have to have the account pasword, and can we trust people to upload without altering the account? We could also send the finished mixes to one person and have that person upload the beats. If needed I will do all of this and not participate my self. I would keep the beat confidential until all of the submissions were in. Post them all at once. With out names obviously. Then have a few days or a week of judging. This way we could get stats from soundclick as well as our own. I have already set up an account for HipHopKC dot com, on soundclick.com. If you know me, then you know I like to keep shit exclusive and on the DL till its ready. So I will keeps it real and Honest. Lets just get it going already. I'm ready to hear more new. ideas? 🙄

I will do whatever is needed from me to make this fly tally ho maestros. can't hardly wait. nrg[/quote:b69e6f82bc] One place to post huh......... If you are set up with enough bandwidth or whatever to do it on HHKC what better place for the tracks to be posted. That would also allow you to rename the tracks so people could judge blindly.[/quote:b69e6f82bc] Uhhhh......... Soundclick.com. But I I guess it would be silly to do it there. Too many people might listen. I guess we will continue to have two different conversations. Didnt I just say that the player could be inbedded inside hhkc. its silly to use up bandwidth here posting or hosting mp3s. If we did it on soundclick, they would be there forever. I will have the site set up by tonite and everyone can see how it is. Or we can pay to set up an ftp site, and do this again in like a month? http://www.soundclick.com/hiphopkcdotcom As a matter of fact. I will hold my own contest with a $25.00 gift certificate to guitar center. just to prove how legit I will keep it. I will show you how to set it up keeping the tracks anonymous and easy to access. its easy to post the song without naming the artist, you just post it as song # whatever. Then a poll where the links to the songs are posted, for people to vote on after they listen. (poll style) then the names are revealed Watch me dude, watch me! ❓ :!:[/quote:b69e6f82bc] ace go for the imbedded thingy here on hiphopkc.com. I think its fine if it makes it possible for others to listen and more importantly vote on what they like. what could be better than more feedback from the general populus? Just make sure whenever there is a challenge we 1 make them non downloadable 2. alert me so I can post something on the front page 3. make it known that everybody owns their own shit no matter what and that they are available if the producer likes, for sale lets use this to draw more folks here to listen, enjoy and buy if they desire. so glad to see this taking this turn. I think it could make it more fun and challenging. what say you? remember start date end date, and whether you want to offer you beat for sale or not. do you need my help in any way yet ace? just say the word. I love you man proactive all the way. tally ho[/quote:b69e6f82bc] So check it this is how it will work. 1. We can post the original beat on another spot. 2. Once the original tune is downloaded, send the "finished mp3" track to me. I will post it anonymously as streaming only with a random "i.d." number. 3. On submission of the beat I will respond to you, and post the beat with a number that will represent you and the beat you have submitted. 4. I will also send the beat with the "number" given to the track to NRG. that way you will know that the number given to you is, yours exclusively. NRG I would need your assistance in confirming the number with the artists, if they choose to do so. i.e. ""p.m." NRG did ace fadal send you my submission #, then you can both go and check soundclick. 5. On the final day of the contest. No more eats will be accepted, no more beats will be posted. We can decide on how long we will give time for people to listen and vote. They can cast their poll/votes on hiphopkc.com at a designated spot for the contest. 6. On the day after the last day of the contest. No more votes will be counted and winners will be named by their number. By this point, it should be obvious who the winner is by the number of votes received by that numbered track. 7. When voting is closed and contest is over names and owners of tracks submitted will be released and posted. Yet to be worked out. whether or not to post beats as first come first posted, or do a post all finals all at once. Let me know what ya'll think! Im excited to do this for everybody and have already got the gift certificate ready. Let get busy!! we can make this a monthly or bi-monthly thing. build..build![/quote:b69e6f82bc] Honestly.....this sound REALLY complicated.....[/quote:b69e6f82bc] Its not send me a beat and I will give an example of how it will be posted. especially since all of the songs will be easy to liste to from this one spot. alll in one go if you like. Dont send me anything exclusive. matter of fact send me the bat for the cha;llenges youve done. Iwill give an example of how I will post it. no wait [email protected]
