My ish don't let scripts, ads, or pop ups, through without my permission.
When you get something from Z-Share there are like two pop up screens and 2 to 3 ads.
The scripts allow the ad companies to basically trace your the sites you visit by your I.P. address. Then they try to pitch you with more spam and ads in your email or sell the info to other companies.

I think a competition would be cool. We would have to promote it as one so people could/ would vote. It seems like "non-beat making people" are listening to the submissions but only the people involved are commenting.

A few comments about the last several submissions...
It's interesting that both Mac and Ace thought to double-time this sample.
I never would've gotten that vibe, but that's why we do this... I dug both of those tracks.
DM, RM and Head Fella all came with that early-90's flavor.
DM and RM more on the Beatminer side.
HF on the Premier side.
DR.T sped the sample up and did some nice chopwork.
The sax was a nice touch. Your track had a Premo vibe to it too...
Overall... Good work again fellas.

I dont see why it couldnt be whomever,Reach has just always been the dude to get these going, however if you were to put one up if we are going to judge that as a contest, it would need to be properly coordinated with NRG, and everyone would have to be in agreement that they are down with you providing the song to sample, also I dont believe you can participate in the contest if you provide the sample, for obvious reasons.
I personally will flip whatever anyone posts whenever they post a song to sample, contest or not, I just love to try new things and sample songs I may not have originally selected.
Know what I mean.

I know of a very good track to use. It will get away from the jazz/soul vibe for sure to give other styles a chance to shine. The track is an anthem to say the least and has more than enough breaks in it.

I dont see why it couldnt be whomever,Reach has just always been the dude to get these going, however if you were to put one up if we are going to judge that as a contest, it would need to be properly coordinated with NRG, and everyone would have to be in agreement that they are down with you providing the song to sample, also I dont believe you can participate in the contest if you provide the sample, for obvious reasons.
I personally will flip whatever anyone posts whenever they post a song to sample, contest or not, I just love to try new things and sample songs I may not have originally selected.

But then DM you can't be in the contest right? You already seem to have an ideal about how your going to flip the song.
I think it should be someone that isnt going to be in the contest to post a new song. We should all be able to know a day or before the song is posted, how long you have to flip your steez, and then the final day of posting.

Honestly I really don't think it should matter if the person that posts the song is in the contest or not, but it really doesn't matter. If I post the song to sample I will not compete if that's what everyone wants. It will be worth it to hear what everyone else does, and I'll still make a beat from it anyway.
Before any song is posted the rules need to be set up and a place to upload files and all that. The contest deal could make this just for fun thing become less fun.

I had an idea of setting up another account on Soundclick.com. Its free and we could upload as many songs as we like.
We could also post links here direct to the music and/or embed the player for easy access.
The thing is to upload you would have to have the account pasword, and can we trust people to upload without altering the account?
We could also send the finished mixes to one person and have that person upload the beats.
If needed I will do all of this and not participate my self. I would keep the beat confidential until all of the submissions were in.
Post them all at once.
With out names obviously. Then have a few days or a week of judging. This way we could get stats from soundclick as well as our own.
I have already set up an account for HipHopKC dot com, on soundclick.com.
If you know me, then you know I like to keep shit exclusive and on the DL till its ready. So I will keeps it real and Honest. Lets just get it going already. I'm ready to hear more new.

2. Once the original tune is downloaded, send the "finished mp3" track to me. I will post it anonymously as streaming only with a random "i.d." number.
3. On submission of the beat I will respond to you, and post the beat with a number that will represent you and the beat you have submitted.
4. I will also send the beat with the "number" given to the track to NRG.
that way you will know that the number given to you is, yours exclusively.
NRG I would need your assistance in confirming the number with the artists, if they choose to do so. i.e. ""p.m." NRG did ace fadal send you my submission #, then you can both go and check soundclick.
5. On the final day of the contest.No more eats will be accepted, no more beats will be posted. We can decide on how long we will give time for people to listen and vote.
They can cast their poll/votes on hiphopkc.com at a designated spot for the contest.
6. On the day after the last day of the contest. No more votes will be counted and winners will be named by their number.
