This man was not only an innovator and a true genius as a musician, but was also a great ambassador for jazz and one of the few older jazzmen that was really willing and able to draw parallels between jazz and hip-hop in its early inception. Rest in peace Mr. Roach, your contributions to the world can never be understated.
