KC has been selected as one of 14 national "Creative Communities" by LINC - Leveraging Investments in Creativity. LINC is a national initiative - funded in part by the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations with matching funds from local sources - to support artists of all disciplines with prototype strategies like health insurance, live/work space, professional development, market demand and others.
If you are an artist, we need your input!! Please sign up at www.linc.artskc.org (cut and paste). And please forward this email to artists you know.
Charlotte Street Foundation and the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City are co-sponsors of this initiative locally.

Don't sleep on this. I was talking to another artist out here last night that was explaining how to extract funds from this service. There are several ways. The one he was puttin me on to is to simply write a curriculum containing two paragraphs. 1: Introducing information about the art you create. 2: Explaining how you could teach others about your art. If accepted you can lecture at colleges and community events and get payed.
