I like this analogy: Sharks In The Water by Bun B (on HipHopDX) So I'm in Indianapolis right..Just did a show last night with Big Mike, Devin The Dude, Bushwick Bil, and Scarface...Great crowd..So I check in my hotel and I see a lotta war vets in the buildin'...Most r in wheelchairs so I guess WWI...I peep a hat and see they r from the USS Indianapolis...For those who slept through history(like me), or those who never saw Jaws(not me), there is a story...These guys on this US battlteship brought the components for an atomic bomb that fucked up Japan aboard their ship to like Japan or some shit...Anyway, on the way back, their ship got torpedoed and sank, taking 300+ down with it..There were like 1100 onboard, so the other 800 sat bobbin in the ocean for like 4 days...If they didn't die of starvation or dehydration, the sharks ate they ass.. So to the next generations of mc's, I say to you...You may have the components to creep in the game real quick and drop a bomb, but don't be surprised if on the way home, shit doesn't blow up in ya face...cuz if you're NOT lucky and die quickly in a critical blast, or the labels don't starve yo ass, or promoters and management doesn't drain you, the sharks Will get that ass.... Shout out to my hip-hop survivors and the survivors of the USS Indianapolis! You may now commence the hate........ (In other news -- I heard KRS-One's son committed suicide? If it's true...sad...)

Wasn't he saying he thought they was WWI BEFORE he saw the hat? Just saying lol. But anyway, I like it, long live the UG Kingz.

There might be 3 or 4 people still alive that fought in WWI. Might be.

good post. I respect B's opinion. UGK is one of the few cats that show respect to the elders and icons in hip hop music. You don't see jim jones reaching out to Too Short or the juice crew.

My Grandpa is 77 and fought in Korea, World War II was before that. World War I got over in 1918 and most who fought were probably 18+ which if they were 18 then today they would be 107.

Well spoken Mr. B... It's funny how articulate some artists actually are... sometimes
