i have some rap pet peeves that i was talkin to a friend of mine, or if you got with the one im about to state thats cool, BUT! here it is.... political/current event rap songs, that arent good, but people like them on the strength that its political/about a tragedy. if that makes any sense. i always feel like im gettin played, for a buck. The Coup, is good, i like them. but every dead prez song is not dope, just because its about killing cops or robbing white people. THOUGH i like select joints from there catalog, not because there political but cause there good. Rage Against the Machine is a good band, not soley based on there content, the music is good...yadigwhatimtalkinbout? Phonte describes it best. Yea, yea, ok, alright Ya'll know them niggas that I'm talkin bout The ones that ya'll be seeing at the coffee house Soon as they get the mic I start walkin out And swear that they skill the most talked about It's time to bring the emcees on, I'm sick of niggas lookin Bitch trying to read poems and try to battle Me with sandals and capries on, come on dog I'm about to get hyped with this, shed some light to this So called black righteousness Even though ya'll niggas might not cuss like me At the end of the night ya'll just trying to f--k like me So what's the reason for the hating, niggas with dreads Calling they self gods with white girls named Caitlin And I'm cool with interracial dating, but I aint about To hear no f---ing speeches cause I wanna have some bacon I rock and swerve, that's why I cant fuck with Coffee houses man, get on my god damn nerves And deep down ya'll know that I'm right, man shit I'm bout To kick some Trick Daddy next poetry night like My black queen Don't know nan nigga

Man, how could someone doing something with their life other than watching Maury Povich be a pet peeve? I wish every person on earth made music, that would be amazing. You were just a fan with a beat and a rhyme once as well. My pet peeve is exactly this, people complaining about music. ALL music means something to at least one person. It ALL has importance. Johnny Fuckchop struggling to play Nirvana songs on his pawn-shop guitar is at least working his mind and trying to achieve something other than seeing which contestant was voted off this week. That said, I am being hypocrite because I've been guilty of this as well and I am certain I will be in the future. Doesn't mean I like or want to continue this facet of myself. There, now I feel like a hypocritical ass. Only person in history that can rightly complain is Beethoven. "So, your ears work and this is all you got?"

"world" and "girl" are the perfect rhymes. i still use them. you have to. it's like putting ketchup on a burger. i think the rule is, if you are to use those 2 words in a rhyme, you have to do something like rhyme "apparently feel differently" with "american steel industry" right next to it.

I feel stupid about the rant (because it was mainly me venting the anger of spending the previous 3 hours reparing a water pipe in my home) because I'll complain and I know this. Hell, I was in the post. I mainly get annoyed with people who are like "I love all music, except rap/country". Seriously, you love polka but not a single rap/country song?!? And I watched enough of Idol to know that the title and all previous titles shoulda been given to Melinda. Wow, just wow.

Sixer, I feel you man. But the difference is between that cat trying to figure out "come as you are" on his guitar in his basement, and the rapper presenting other people's rhymes as his own in a public forum. And, Mac, yeah, I'll use "payin dues" with "makin moves" in a rhyme scheme, just not on the snare. Those typical rhymes are great to add a lil meat to the internal line structure, but you gotta keep em guessing on the four. I might as well have learned that from you. If there's something I haven't heard you do it's predictable punchlines. Mostly what annoys me are people presenting themselves as better than they are. It exposes their motive for social praise and their disinterest in developing skill, learning the history, progressing the music. Mythic, that video is beyond painful. Please don't post any more videos like that. I'm happier ignorant.
