Topic: Adru The Misphit--new music,

..whats up to all..just wanted to let heads know i got some new music you could check out.."K.C.P.D."-produced by Johnny Quest..and "Vintage,"Nothing I'm Not",& "Gut Check"-all self produced..i'm probably gonna touch up the mix on 1 or 2 of them but i wanted to put them up anyway...ive finished recording the album--about 20 tracks deep with production from Nezbeat,Beat Broker,Vertigone,Miles Bonny,Detail,Johnny Quest, and myself..with a guest spot from i.D. and my man Silver Mane...got a few technical and business issues to iron out,but it'll be available soon.but check out the new stuff if you get a second--

now for the "few words"..
didnt know if i should put myself out there like this-but since i talk about all this stuff in my music anyway, and i know most of you at least to some extent,i wanted to clear up a few things.as a lot of you know, this past summer i started posting some pretty over the top things on here(as well as a few myspace comments and emails)that just got more and more bizzarre and downright non-sensical...and as a lot of you know i had a couple face to face confrontations with some people...i spent nearly the entire summer in a severe bi-polar/manic depression induced mania/psychosis,my first real serious episode in a few years.once again i was forced into a state hospital by police..this is something ive struggled with for the last decade, after an acid induced psychosis in 97 pretty much kinda fucked my head up,and landed me in a criminally insane prison."bi-polar" is a real over diagnosed condition and overused term nowadays, and a lot of people dont realize there are different severities to it.so even a lot of those that have been diagnosed
bi-polaR/manic depressive,or say they think they have it,have never really experienced an extreme manic episode,or even the deep depression side of things.and a lot of people cant comprehend how someone can get to the point where they are a different person,& have little to no control over their own actions.
this isnt any kind of excuse, and its not an apology either..im just stating facts about what was going on with me.anyone that truely knows me knows the person i am,and what im about.i cant dwell on these things or feel shame over them, this shit is just part of me.
as for music--while i do have some pretty valid issues with certain aspects of the local hip-hop "community"..i have nothing but respect for all the talented artists that are doing what they do for the right reasons...and artists that are genuine and true to their word as people.me personally,im just trying to have fun creating, and hopefully open some eyes and ears to issues that i care about.so thats it i guess..i just wanted to put that out there.peace to all,and good luck on all your projects....--dru

the new music is dope
your beats are getting better and better, without a doubt, not many local heads are fucking with you and the zoom right now...my only gripe is that I like the old KCPD version better, but that's me and I ain't shit haha
All in all, I'm just glad to have been able to contribute to a future classic...no doubt!...press that shit up

..the zoom is supposed to be a secret!dammit..i even have the zoom and sampletrak logo's covered on my machine, and replaced them with my own..its the Phit 12000!oh well...i appreciate the comment on my beats, hopefully maybe some young dudes can see you dont have to neccesarily have a $2000 dollar machine to make some decent shit.oh yea,the "old k.c.p.d."..those are the vocals i wanted to use originally, but quest couldnt put them on there for some reason.but these vocals arent the ones i recorded with him, either, just did that shit a few days ago.
milk drop-yea,i know that must have been some hard shit to deal with.i know ive put my own son through some unneccesary stuff .but yea-dont get it twisted-theres more to this "condition"than just craziness and "mental illness"..its no coincidence that the vast majority of all the greatest art and writing ever created was done by people considered to be manic deppresive, and even scitzofrenic.of course,a lot of these people shot themselves in the face or put their heads in ovens,i'd really like to avoid that if possible, lol.the latest to fall would be hip hop/dance producer disco d,his friends say if he didnt have bi-polar he'd still be alive.but yea, these things are so stigmitized in this society..i feel its kind of a gift and a curse.
anyway,peace yall

i remember when my mom was in her manic phase she would clean the entire house in like an hour, and it would be so spotless it was crazy.
it's true some of the most talented minds are effected by a mental illness.
btw that "Nothing I'm Not" Instro is super dope. wish i had cheese for beats right now. i heard 'k.c.p.d.' at Quest's in like March of '06 i think when i was doing my joint for his production album. i remember the 'bring me back a bloody badge and jacket' line being earlier in the song. bc i remember looking at John with a 'got damn did he just say that?' look on my face.

RIP disco d, I talked with him a few times on gearslutz, dudes beats were nasty
I did notice the vocals were different but I was talking about the 1st beat, with the vocals in the chorus but I know why you don't want those in, we've talked about it before

mike you must be talking about the beat that been(ben) did that i originally did this on,i guess..dont know how you even ever heard that though, that shit was a grip ago.drop-i appreciate it man....im about to start trying to sell some beats, just for like 50-75 bucks or so,but i'd be glad to just give you a track or 2,as long as that shit wouldnt be locked in the vaults forever....and furious-if you read this-i'd like to lace you with something too,if your interested.oh...and the vocal arrangement of k.c.p.d. is exactly the same as it always was, except for some little changes in a couple lines....good looking stik, that newest joint with miles i heard is too fresh..mad dope... 1
