there are a few "gimmie" games in that schedule which worries me...... those are the one we usually lose....with the exception of Houston....

Ugh I know the Clevland & Buffalo games in the past come to mind. I don't know adding Donnie was huge hes a leader maybe having a leader on defense makes a difference in those type of games? I certainly hope so I don't think I could handle another road loss to a horrible team.

i have complete confidence in our front 7 & adding Donnie while he's still in his prime was a big plus. It's that steadily aging secondary that worries me. Law & Surtain dont have much longer. They've developed technique in their later years to make up for their lack of athletisism, but that will only get them so far when they're matched up against a fresh, young pair of legs.

Well Kris Jenkins is on the trading block I heard we're in the market for him. I think theres a real good possibility we get a corner in round one or two its clear Herm is making this defense a force. As for offense we'll be average and thats ok with #27 running the ball and controlling the clock while the D makes stops & creates turnovers.

It'll be good to see a .25back that actually moves in the pocket. Sammie Parker can burn any corner in the league but dude cant even catch a cold! He makes some of the best spetacular catches but will drop a fuckin lateral. The receivers have to get more involved in the offense to take pressure off of Larry. & Im workin on tryin to kidnapp Roaf....

Mitchell's overrated and doesn't fit well in a Cover 2 scheme. He's a liability in pass coverage. Kris Jenkins would be an excellent addition, but word has it that Carolina wants more than the 3rd Round pick that's been offered. I think a Second Round pick would seal the deal, but Carl Peterson won't want to give it up to acquire his services. He's had some injury problems in the past, but when he's healthy he's one of the best DT's in the NFL. He'd immediately be the best DT on this team so this is definitely something they want to get done. I'm hoping the fact that Denver is also interested will light a fire under Peterson's arse. Herm Edwards is enamored with UNLV's Eric Wright so I wouldn't at all be shocked to see him taken #1. They had better get a Wide Receiver in the opening two rounds though. Parker's a #3 masquerading as a starter. We need a true #1 or #2 receiver. I'm hoping they'll take either Dwayne Jarrett or Robert Meachem at 23 and get their Cornerback in the Second Round. Eric Wright or Marcus McCauley... Though if they don't get Jenkins they had better be looking to pick up a DT & WR in the first two rounds. As for the schedule... We have three road games to open the season up and Jared Allen won't be suited up for any of them. That could be disasterous. At the moment if they don't improve the DT spot this looks like a 9-7, 10-6 season...Should earn the Chiefs another wildcard berth and a raise for Edwards.

That Clevland game he had that INT at the end but I also recall he had about 5 missed tackles that game and that was something he was consistant at missing tackles. Donnie Edwards is much better leader IMO and a better play maker. He's had 5 INT 3 different seasons dude can make plays & makes tackles.

He's trying desperately to make good on that mistake. I personally like the fact that Donnie Edwards will end his career where it started, but from a personnel standpoint... This was a mistake. Edwards hasn't shown signs of slowing to this point, but he's 34 years old. He's not an ascending player. He can only get worse as his career wears on. I'd expect a high level production from him for about 3 more years. Kansas City should've signed Cato June. He has similar numbers, is 6 years younger and could've been signed for less money than they gave Edwards. These kinds of mistakes are what stand in the way of excellence for this franchise. Peterson should've signed the younger guy for less money. That's good business. Edwards is a great Cover 2 fit though and he's a former hometown hero so I can live with it. Plus, he gives us leadership that June might not have, but there are still veterans on the team (ie, Law/Surtain/Boone). Peterson needs to learn to be a bit smarter though personnel-wise. He had better pull the trigger and get Jenkins in here before Denver picks him up.

Even if The Donkies get Jenkins I cant say im too concerned they still have no pass rushers on the edge.

Adios Dante! Who else is tickled to hear about our teams biggest crybaby getting pushed down I-70 to St. Louie? I can't think of any other player, besides maybe T.O. who is so quick to whine and complain after EVERY play. Dude thought he was Frogger or some shit and would pull all this sideways, backwards nonsense. Run UP the field dummy! I will admit that he often tried to make big plays, but anytime he didn't get 25 or 30 yards, you'd think the world was going to be over. I also heard a great story that he speaks in third person, and when asked to remove his hat at Skybox, he gets all tough and looks waaay up to the doorman to say "Dante don't take his hat off for nobody!" See ya pal.

there's a lot of anti-mutant discrimination going on. on one hand, i'm sad to see dante go as a sort of hometown hero with his little anomaly kick return gimmick, but if i were the manager, i'd do the same thing. we've been talking a lot about WRs, and that's what a lot of the internet buzz is about, but a lot of the major media doesn't see that as where we're going to go.

Dante's antics were cute a couple years ago when he had a breakout season, but teams learned to let him go ahead & dance & when your done, i'll be standing right here ready to pop yo azz...

I think a change of scenery will do Hall good. We had so much turover on ST with personnel his blocking hasn't been great the last couple of seasons.

He certainly would have hurt us even more this year with that new 5 yard spiking the ball penalty. The past few years he was also fumbling the ball at a high rate so it seemed and who can forget that Cleveland game where he let it bounce in front of him and the Browns almost recovered it? I wanted to check myself into a mental clinic after that game 🙁

There's a new 5-yard penalty for spiking the football? Sheesh... The NFL (No Fun League) should stop tampering with a good thing. They're the premier professional sport... Taking the fun out of it is silly...
