Think Harlem's famed Rucker Park Tournament meets Fall Jam. Over 600 of Kansas Cities finest will have the chance to show off their skills at Carter Broadcast Group's first annual Ball Til Ya Fall Hoops Classic 2005 ... Who will be left standing?
Verizon, the US Army and Bally Total Fitness are the sponsors of this two-day event which kicks off at noon on October 8th with a 3-on-3 elimination tournament featuring male, female, junior and adult divisions. On day two the audience will have a chance to enjoy the excitement of several 'Skills Contests' including 3-point shootouts, dunk contests, and skittles (trick dribbling) competitions.
What's streetball without Hip-hop? I'm glad you asked. Today, streetball and hip-hop go together like rice and beans. That's why Carter Broadcast Group is bringing in several of the hottest recording artists to preform live immediately after the competition. Live performances by Three 6 Mafia, Teairra Mari, Blu Harris, Hobo Tone, T Pain, Noah and more will start at 6 p.m. on both nights of the tournament.
Ball Til Ya Fall Hoops Classic 2005 is taking place at the Southeast Field House in Swope Park. Team Registrations fees are $140 and Skills Contest Fees are $75. Tournament Rules and Registration Forms are available online at www.kprs.com. Admission is $20 for a one-day pass or $30 for two-day pass. Parking, concessions and grandstand seating will be available.
