i created this session in an attempt to be PRO ACTIVE about the needs of the hiphop community to grow and cultivate itself while at the same time provide those interested in the culture with some history, a perspective, and food for thought and ears reflecting the local hiphop community.
I learned long time ago a excellent to build community, connectedness is to educate , share ones self with another.
I now realize, that its fine if artists/community folk don't show up for this cuz this is my contribution to the community. Yall make yours through dance beats rhymes, spins, design, living and such.
I dont' know what the outcome will be, but I'm taking the risk to see and I think OUR hiphop community is worth gettin to know.
this session will be happening through Communiversity every semester til folk stop coming so send folks who wanna know or are curious for a truer message instead of how the media puts hiphop on blast.
