As a fan that sucks, but as an artist and (more importantly) a [i:594f009103]person[/i:594f009103] it's understandable. Getting one's priorities is important...to make sure you're taking care of the right stuff. Hope he gets everything sorted out...

damn that's crazy, i was looking for his myspace the other day after i got a verse of his for a collaboration that's been in the making for almost a year and i couldn't find it. figured it was down for maintenance or something.
it's a sad day for hip hop everywhere, hope that everything works out for him though. If it's meant for him life will steer him back towards music. if not i'm sure he's talented in other areas enough to make a difference elsewhere.
good luck Jamal.

WOW! That hit me like a Kareem Abdul Jabaar kick the the chest! A some what saddening though understandable choice to pursue other goals and re prioritize.
He left on a good foot though....
Much peace to you man....

Damn... havn't been on the boasrd in a minute - but I'd just heard about this like 2 nights ago and I thought it was a lie. I left a message of concern and I was gonna' hit him up on MySpace just for validation - but ... that is hella discouraging...
Oh well - that's life though. I get where Joe is comin' from - but I just wish he wasn't feelin' that way 2b honest.
Your sounds still go through my iPod - come back one day homie

Word up, a man always knows what's best for himself and you have to take care of self before you can worry about pleasing anyone else. Joe Goods not gone, just pop in the CD.

Jamal, I've been enjoying your creative vibe and flows for going on like 12 years? Wrecking cats 10 years older than you when you weren't even out of Highschool!
You do what's best for you. The Music & Art world is too often under appreciative, shady, fickle, trendy...just like much of the rest of this society.
Great artists are too often taken for granted, underappreciated, etc...not so great artists suprisingly often find commercial success, but true creativity and a unique and strong vision always finds a way to thrive!
You are like a younger brother and yet an honest to God Hip Hop Hero of mine!
I will always have utmost respect for whatever you decide to do in life!
YOUVE PUT IT DOWN FOR KC!
BE PROUD OF EVERYTHING YOU'VE ACHIEVED SO FAR!!
peace/creativity/One Love/Respect always!

Yeah man. You can only feed others so long until your own belly starts to grumble a bit. Do for self, then help someone else. Works better for everyone.
