    The Solidarity Center in Lawrence presents: An art show opening with: Pro Rev Joe Carr DJ Spence "Our Power is in the Streets" A graffiti and street art show opening Friday February 23rd at the Solidarity Center at 1109 Mass Street in downtown Lawrence. From the streets of Lawrence and Kansas City, comes a collaborative art show featuring skills and styles ranging from graffiti to street posters. The show will feature artists from the Beware All Style Biters and Symbol Heavy art crews, as well as other Lawrence and KC based artists. The list includes artists such as Dave Loewenstein, Mikrosopht, Phem 9, Aaron Sutton, Onion, Mayor, Luke Rocha, and Scritch. The event opens on February 23rd featuring music and beats from KC hip hop artists Pro Rev, Lawrence lyricist Joe Carr and Lawrence's DJ Spence. The show will run until Monday March 5th during the normal open hours of the Solidarity Center. @ the Solidarity Center 1109 Massachusetts Street, Downtown Lawrence, KS Friday show @ 7pm $3-5 donation, benefits the Solidarity Center and KC Hip Hop Academy All Ages!

    word, I'll be bringing some art from 7-10 artists from KC to the Solidarity fam. Hope everyone can make it out to support some conscious community Building and Art / Music!! Next show will be in KC in April for Spring ...with 1/2 Lawrence 1/2 KC artists probably at the hcREATIVE mIND cOMMUNITY tHEATRE SPACE... LOFI out a deh!

    The weather was fine down there. I took a couple of pics...I'll check em to see if they turned out. IMO it was a very nice event, because no other artists attended. They were actually a lot of people that weren't heads or anything. That made it so much more enjoyable to play for them. We made some fans. NEW fans, not mandatory props from the heads that heads always give you. nawmean? The spot is pretty dope. Its actually a radical library on Mass street haha. in the back there's a room that they're going to expand and have performances back there. The real nice thing is that they are going to utilize it for all ages, no substance shows, which I think is sorely needed both in Lawrence and KC. Props to Joe Carr, instead of complaining about venues, he goes out and plays where people are.
