Saturday August 27th at the Gaslight Tavern - myself and Joc Max will be hosting a James Brown night in celebration of the Godfather. We'll be playing music not only by the one and only himself, but also all of his associates - Fred Wesley, Bootsy, Marva Whitney, Lyn Collins, Maceo, Pee-Wee, Bobby Byrd, the Soul Believers - as well as the hip-hop that came about because of the JB's camp. James Brown changed music in the 20th century again and again - he's arguably the most important musical figure of our lifetime - so come and be witness the legacy of the minister of the new, new super heavy funk. Joc and I will also be selling a strictly limited CD with mixed sets of James and his people, 30 minutes each.
There will also be a limited amount of CDs for sale with 30 minutes sets(total 60 mins) from scenebooster and Joc Max
