this might be a good time to ask... how do you feel about gun control?
i'm probably going to buy an AK-47 or a GLOCK 17 in the next month or so.
considering that the police have guns, and there are all ready too many guns in the u.s. to rope in (and that if you wanted one bad enough you could get one off a cop)... i think the second amendment is important. it's an ugly truth, but if the cops are going to have guns, you should have them too, to assert your rights as an equal citizen... because in any nation, martial law could be imposed overnight. when they kick at your front door, how you gonna come?

important video.
phism, im intrested, did you grow up around police brutality? is this need for a gun and shooting police coming from a real place, or are you an anarchist for anarchist sake?
the first gun i ever saw, was pulled on me by a police officer, i was age 12. the second gun i ever saw maimed a friend of mine, the kid who shot him was 15. i guess what im sayin is, guns arent anything more than a symbol of power, cause 80% of people who use them, without them are LAME, with or without a badge.
i will never be prepared to take anyones life, its just in my moral compass. so i'll never own a gun. couldnt have it on my conscience.

it's more of an issue of how far i trust the government. the need may not be present now, but it could come at any time. i don't think the citizens should ever be in a position where their government can choose at any point to physically and systematically oppress them. populations should always reserve the option of revolution, especially in a bellicose society like ours.
so yes, they are a symbol of power. they are actual power. "political power comes from the barrel of a gun" - mao tse tung. and while it's the obvious argument to say we shouldn't give power to the average idiot; guess what, plenty of average idiots already have more power than a gun can afford you.
heh, i used to carry a sword around sometimes too. i got stopped by cops a few times, and they weren't trying to detain me, they just wanted to check out the swords.
p.s. as far as morals, i have very few of those any more, and if it were legal, i'd already have eaten a few people.
