This really does make me sad/mad.... (in response to my post on another topic) This is kinda it's gonna be hard to give up the "N" word.... Sometimes you kinda need it... not to describe a race.... but to describe a certain type of people with a certain mindset...

what saddens me about this is the glorification. some of y'all know were i grew up. it wasn't pretty. But i don't tell the stories, definitely don't show the scars. IT WAS HELL!!!!! I couldn't be happier to get out. Watching this is REAL though, sometimes you do have to live it without a choice. It's the ones who think this is cool and "gangsta" who are just ignorant and clueless. it's a shame some of the comments were even thought let alone written into the public spreading the ignorance. Hopefully one day they too will see the light.

It's the new age black face. GANGSTA
  13. Dec 2, 2006 10:32pm by phism
there's no good life. i like some of the gang mediation stuff that goes on in various cities.... and i would like to see it expanded to the realm of making the gang a positive thing... like what the latin kings have been trying to do... or how the crips were originally modeled after the black panthers. i think that with strong progressive leadership, it's not unfathomable that gangs could be a lot more dangerous to america, in a good way. but i guess that's just wishful thinking.

I couldn't even finish the video....well lets say that I chose not to. Why give these fools the satisfaction of our time spent watching that nonsense. Two thumbs way down.

And what makes it even worse (yes it gets worse) is that there is some politician or someone watching this video saying.... "Look what this [i:ca1b6af397]Hip-Hop[/i:ca1b6af397] is doing to people nowadays!" And we're over hear like "WTF". And the truth is, you can't blame a genre of music for this, no matter how "Hardcore" the genre might be. And it always ends up with people pointing the finger at Rap, Hip-Hop (which people think are the same thing) and Heavy Metal. BOGUS! People who do think this video is something to be glorified and praised are STUPID!!! Yes STUPID! But it's no-ones fault but their own, not the music. "You can't fix 'stupid'" - Ron White

Exactly what I was saying. A lot people don't really connect or relate to things that others relate to. I mean just like in that video, you got one group saying "What you're doing is wrong and you're hurting the community" and on the other side, you got people saying "This is art just like everything else and it is really helping the community". Both have their pros and cons, but the whole controversy starts with misunderstanding. For instance (media stereotype) 5 Black people rob a bank. So that means ALL black people are criminals! HELL NAWW! (Another one) Their are 5 companies, each one of their CEOs are White. So now ALL white people are are in upper management positions. HELL NAWW!!! And that what a lot of people do with hip-hop/Rap/Crime/Violence. People do too much grouping than looking at the individual aspects of it. And once again is the root of all problems. And that sucks. Think of it like this, Hip-Hop is over here saying "DON'T PUT ME IN JAIL FOR WHAT MY COUSIN DID". Thats about as plain as DR.T can put it. [color=red:3588167f59]DR.T ([u:3588167f59]D[/u:3588167f59]estroyer of [u:3588167f59]R[/u:3588167f59]epetitive [u:3588167f59]T[/u:3588167f59]hemes Theme #21 Too many stereotypes, Too much finger pointing, NOT ENOUGH UNDERSTANDING [/color:3588167f59] Thanks for that post Phizz
