On Jermaine Dupri
Quote:
Definitely one of the most underrated producers ever, hasnt got his proper credit yet, # 1 hits for like 15 years now. he's the greatest man, very professional to work with and comes up with great concepts
On Nas
Quote:
Hip Hop is a tool we use to avoid violence, gun play and everything else that comes with the streets, it's Music, we're expressin ourselves, we havin fun, nobody is trying to hear about ancient scriptures and sh*t, n*ggas is trying to get with b*tches, go read a book if you're tryna get educated.. Its always the over the hill rappers tryna get back in the game and diss the hottest thing out, which right now is the South. It's a movement. this aint 96, nobody is checkin for Nas anymore. Just because we dont live to a certain type of hip hop code he does, we aint hip hop?
speak on it.

im split on the thing.
yea im happy to hear brothas are off the streets and doin things legal and providing for there folks, theres no reason to hate on that. but parlae suffers from what most people of this generation suffer from and thats a sense of history, and a respect for innovators that made it possible for him to get paid being wack.
but there will always be wack songs, groups, MC's that gets a pass.

Well Well Well.... I was just reading the comics today and Candorville talks about this subject. THey are flash in the pan rappers. WIthout JD the ceo of their label, they don't have a backing anymore. He leped the label with urban music, which hasn't always been their strong point. Snap music is just part of the trend right now and we all know what happens to trends......I.e... Hammer, Afrocentric,Jiggy, Bling Bling, Snap Music... will be the next thing to fade.

start with 11/20 and go through today and it relased to the subject

HELL NAWW!
If you want to call it music... call it music.... BUT DON'T CALL IT HIP-HOP.
If I make a country music song that talks about Guns,Women, Money, Drugs and crap, does that make it hip-hop? HELL NAWW! According to these people it DOES make it hip-hop. They need to call it just Rap.
DON'T DISGRACE AN ENTIRE GENRE JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME AND MAKE MONEY.
MAKE YOUR OWN GENRE THEN!!! DON'T SPIT ON MINE!!!
