man...it's that time again.
This event ain't quitting any time soon!!!
Not when it's going off like this.....
[b:8958e84b06]BULLDOG BATTLE 2006. ALL AGES. CHILDREN 10 and under are FREE. @ The Granada, 1020 Mass in Lawrence, KS.
$15 door fee. [i:8958e84b06]THERE IS NO EXTRA FEE TO ENTER THE BATTLE![/i:8958e84b06]
Confirmed judges: ALIEN NESS, POE 1, MR.FREEZE.
Confirmed DJ's: DJ P, SUGE.
How it will run
Doors @ 4pm.
-5pm: Showing of the breakdance documentary THE FRESHEST KIDZ on the HUGE Granada Screen (The Granada used to be a Theatre back in the 70's).
-6pm: Dance workshops hosted by ALIEN NESS, POE 1 and MR.FREEZE.
-8pm: Kick off of the Battle!!!. (We will break down how the rounds will go a little bit later on)
-10: A Popping Exhibition.
-10:30: Semifinals and Final Battles.
-11:45: Winners are announced.
-12am: DJ P gets on the wheels to rock the party that will begin shortly after the winners are announced!
There will be several booths/vendors on hand.
THIS IS A CELEBRATION OF BREAKDANCING AND HIP-HOP CULTURE, SO BRING YOUR KIDS, BROTHERS, FATHERS, COUSINS, SISTERS, MOTHERS AUNTS, UNCLES AND FRIENDS.[/b:8958e84b06]

yo you know i got you son!!!! yo honestly this is historic ya'll. the amount of talent that will be in the house that nite is very rare indeed. any an all who are even remotely interested in this dance an hiphop culture should try to be in attendance. i urge all to try to attend workshops if able to. being taught by the people on that list is def an honor. i myself have 9 yrs in this dance an can't wait to take those classes. bring yourselves an family members especially children boys an girls trust me this is a once an a lifetime opportunity.
yo can't wait an i can honestly say this will be the jam/show of the year!!

Bulldog 2006 is this Saturday.
I really hope to see a lot of you out.
Bulldog Battle has always been an event that highlights some of the roots of Hip-Hop's origins. We welcome everyone from the community to come out...not just heads.
There are going to be dance workshops so you, your kid, your sibling or whoever can come and learn some steps.
I really want this event to be one that people think of when they think of Hip-Hop in the KC/Lawrence area.

quick update:
yo, tomorrow is going to be the shit.
we have dancers coming from Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Texas, South Dakota, Ohio, Missouri and of course Kansas.
The entire day will be on video tape for a DVD that we're putting together of the all the Bulldog Battles!

Amazing battles...
TONS of kids between 4 and 12 learning steps at the workshop from Ness and Poe 1.....
huge community support, especially from the middle and high schools....
gigantic thanks to everyone that came out and supported.
I gotta say, I was very surprised and dissapointed at the lack of support from the "Hip-Hop" community. Besides BBoys and and their friends/family, I really didn't see to many people that usually make it to Hip-Hop shows. Lawrence, KC or surrounding area.
Like I said, I was really surprised.
But, it is what it is.
Mad shouts out to Fredo!!! Thanks for holding down the hosting and the organization on stage!
FLAVOR LOVING CRIMINALS (is that right? they kep changing their names, haha) took home the $1500!!!
