    this is when you post that hood 2 hood footage. naw on the real, its expected, isnt it? the same thing happend when the south was doin it, plus ughh.com is and most message baords are full of lames who talk tough on the computer, with no real or valid opinions.

    Still being undersold as a region. They'll learn... And very, very soon. It's no coincedence that this region has fielded Dilla, Eminem, Kanye, Common and Hi-Tek.

    it's really funny how people make a connection to hiphop in cultured urban areas where people are supposed to be more open minded then that of the rural or suburban areas...but to be so blind of their surroundings, in the sense of the rest of our country, and not realize the midwest has major cities with every possible capability of having a talented music scene, proves they are just as close minded and uncultured as those in the rural areas they choose to talk down on

    I know, right? Like Hip Hop only lives in certain places. I got cousins in Mexico, Missouri (about as big as a Walmart) doing this ish.

    I've been to Mexico MO and the country of Mexico as well. There's a California MO not too far from Mexico. They were both on a route I was driving. I was a bit confused the first day when my boss told me I was going to Mexico, California, and Columbia 😆 Then he threw in Jefferson City. It was amazing all those places and back the same day 😀

    On the topic music in general is a pretty universal language. Genres of music might originate in one area and spread with each place putting a certain flavor on said genre while maintaining the vibe of the genre. You can label a cerain type of music to a set of ideals or whatever, but that label in reality is a limitation. If a person loves a type of music so much why would they want to limit it? Hip Hop is one of the most diverse "genres" out. It isn't really held down to anything. It can have singing, but doesn't have to. It can have rapping, but doesn't have to. It can be made all from samples, all from synths, all from real instruments, or a little of each. A song might have the feel of rock , classical, jazz, or any other "genre" out there, but also have that hip hop feel. Location doesn't matter near as much as dedication and love for music. If a person is dedicated to get better and loves what they do GOD will take care of the rest. So why not KC?

    i bet ya'll never been to SIKESTON MO! hahaha and don't you think that people are extra bold...or arumentative on a message board just in general...i mean no one can really be held accountable foe their words so it kinda ends up being a free for all with very little checks and balances... i find that people will say anything if they think they can get away with it... there is no reason to give MO or KAN any props in their minds so why even been nice on the web...it's not we're standing next to them and will smak them in the back of the head and yell 'space monkey" when they say something stupid....

    Is that what "OUR SCENE" is- outside of hiphopkc's mindstate- A CLICHE? 😥 This is ya'lls "scene" Some fantasyworld, that is so uptight, that it doesn't embrace the boys thats here dealing with the everyday dirt...that made the music yall claim to use as a tool every day...Its a sad day for the blue collar nigga!! Put it in ya pipe!! Or do yall even inhale?? I'm starting to wonder- I signed on hoping that this place would be free of judgement, and full of real convo...... But I can see now, if you aint riding some politicians nuts, you don't fit in here(this specific website). This is supposed to be K.C. hip hop, and to me that includes everybody that been about this K.C. shit from day 1. Peace.

I know cuz I have checked in an attempt to understand where you might be coming from. "OUR SCENE" is Too Small and Unstable to be having all these divisions in my opinion. So I ain't trying to create no divisions no where, just as many opportunities as I / WE can think of for whoever wants it did you check out hiphopkc's mission statement. It doesn't say east, west, backpack, G , Rap, whiteboy, old school, conscious, underground etc, it says HIPHOP . . . . . period. That statement is the backbone of this site, it is the measure I use whenever to add, subtract or modify anything on here. Are You KC HIPHOP man? this site can be about you too. Yo Choice KBarnz be here or not whatever for the rest man peace to you as well

Just to let you know k, I'm not mad at you, but I bet you'll get the most of this site by not harrassing people and possibly throwing out a kind comment here and there. Trust me there's been several times I've had to learn I don't need to post everything typed in this box. It's an option to click submit, but doesn't mean I have to do it (I delete a lot of stuff that doesn't need to be posted).

You'll see that this site represents anything and everything relative to Kansas City HipHop. This isn't a 'members only' clubhouse. Most of the cats in here know all sides of it man... Straight up. Some of the same cats that have respect for Joc Max used to rock DJ Fresh mixtapes. I can say that for sure cause I'm one of them...
