I've been having a rather long discussion about producers with Skeme.
We seem to disagree on a couple.
So, for your money...
Hi-Tek or Madlib?
For me it's Hi-Tek all day...every day and twice on Sunday.

yeah man, I cant even vote, their different.
Madlib is ovbiously waaaayyy more diverse in terms of what he releases, and because of his label situation.
Hi-Tek puts out straight quality all the time, but less tracks are released and its consistently a similar style.

Definitely Hi-Tek. The more records I find with Madlib samples that I learn are 4-8 bar loops with some added drums the more I'm not impressed. However, the Yesterdays New Quintet stuff is sick. I'm just a bigger fan of the traditional hiphop sound.

hard to compare with basically everything madlib makes gets released. hi-tek...a few beats here and there. i pick madlib because of the larger quanitity of bangin material.
and yeah they might be loops...but who's loops are better than madlib? anyone?
