This lets you comment or send a message to 50 people at a time, with one click. http://www.popularshareware.com/Friend-Blaster-Pro_download_31312.html

Knew people were using something. I'll pass on mass spamming. When I get those messages that say add me, they get deleted right away regardless of who it is. It's fairly rude imo, but to each their own. I'm gonna let you all in on a little secret........most of my myspace friends I've had no interaction with whatsoever, so what kind of friend is that? The site is cool, but perhaps getting out of hand. Just my thoughts on the whole subject.

Browse people from 21-30 by the zip code of the bar/club, then I gather the ID's from the browsing screen. Next I send all of them the invite at once with an "add to friends" button at the bottom of the messages. This way I'm actually honing in on people around the area and giving them the choice to add my night as thier friend. If they add me then I know they're at least somewhat interested so I send them weekly fliers. Basically I'm using the same program the spammers use, only with good in mind.

I can see doing that for a regular event. It's not quite the same thing as someone trying to get a massive number of friends.
