Over the last four years nearly 15,000 people from around the world have taken part in the festival and conference. Past participants include Slick Rick, Cee-Lo of Goodie Mob, Clipse, Slum Village, Camp Lo, Crazy Legs, Slug of Atmosphere, EWOK (HM Crew), Jean Grae, Brother Ali, DMG (Facemob), Asia-One, and many others. For two years the Mayor of Minneapolis has declared it Hip-Hop Weekend, earning worldwide attention. Yo! the Movement, a nonprofit organization dedicated to youth leadership and development, achieves its mission through several initiatives, including the YO! Fellows, What's Up? Youth Information Line (www.whatsup.org), the Juvenile Justice Youth Advisory Council, and the Express Yourself EYS Project.
