What happened to women on the mic? Lyte was dope. Yo-Yo was on point. And Lady of Rage, rocked rough and stuff with her afro puffs. I've been looking locally for a lady to rock a couple of songs with, and i can't find any. So, I pose to you talk about 1 lady from the past and any locally.

You know I saw a rerun of In Living Color last night and Queen Latifa performed a track at the end. She was pretty damn good too...I'd have to say better than the K-Mart commercials, but her pocketbook would probably say different. Actually she's pretty talented overall emcee, jazz singer, actor. It would be hard to get mad at that.

Lauryn Hill is the best femcee to ever touch a microphone.
I still shake my head at some of her verses...
"Seasons change mad things rearrange, but it all stays the same like the Love Doctor Strange..."

Shawnna..but before you jump on my care. she was a dope before she jumped ship with luda, she used to be with this group called the infamous syndicate. Her girl teefa was dope too. Toyy in stl is a dope also, ive heard her spit on a few mixtapes. Bahamadia was nice also

uh, just a list off the top...
jean grae, psalm one, lioness, t-love, bahamadia, mystic, lady sovereign...
and you know, sorceress and perseph...
shawnna, missy, remy...
and uh, jj fad.
i kind of dislike lauryn hill. i don't really like the fugees in general so maybe that's why. but i think there's superior female mc's.

madonna did that super fresh rap about being jewish, having a nanny and, and drinking late's and doing palatie's.
don't foget the amazing rap style of Carmen Electra while working with Prince.
