I will miss El Torreon. its one of the venue in kc that I had the most hope for. all age venues are soooooo hard to come by. hiphop friendly venues being the first. so all age hiphop friendly made el torreon one of a kind in kc.
things change in kc every minute. rules are discovered at every turn. someone may want that building to make loft condos out of it.
mos def something we need more of near downtown right now that is along with million dollar houses popping up on the westside

it's not entirely closed yet. they're working through it.
abe haddad owns the building. the haddads run the concession stands and shit at the chiefs stadiums, figlio's restaurant, all kinds of things... you know, in cahoots with lamar hunt and whatnot. that's why a bunch of the el torreon shows say "hunt industries presents".... so they've got clout with the city and all. probably the only reason it's been around so long, since as we all should know by now, kay barnes hates kids, and anything that isn't pretty.

metal mark, who manages el torreon is posting as "scsibunny" (his dj name)... he also recently had his wallet stolen while it was full of his money that was about to go to bills and whatnot, so that's double drama. anyway. that's what's up.
