Have any of you seen this?
Yahoo Music is touring various US cities for a new idea calling "Mic Pass".
It's a video cypher (if you will) that showcases the talents of Rap locals.
The first installment was shot in NYC, but they've also made trips to LA, St. Louis, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston...
Go here for all 9 editions of Pepsi Smash: Mic Pass.

We can start by providing some feedback...
Send them a message. Send them 8 messages.
The more requests...the better.
I sent them a request quite some time ago asking that they consider Kansas City as one of their next stops. To no avail.
Let's hit them up first and go from there...
I started a thread on their board.
[b:b113d62cd1]Mic Pass (Kansas City)[/b:b113d62cd1]
http://messages.music.yahoo.com/smash/threadview?bn=micpass&tid=3989&mid=3989&tof=1&m=tm&rt=2
Please stop by... Give your reasons for why they need to come to KC.
They ask that you freestyle over a downloadable track they have on the site, but I've checked and it's a bad link.
Anyway... Give it a shot.
Somebody check the Rules & Guidelines out.
I don't have a PDF reader on my computer.

What say we do three different versions of Mic Pass: KC?
We could feature 6 emcees per. That'd showcase at least 18 emcees.
We could tab one of our local beatmakers to put a track up.
I'm sure we could snare a couple of digital camcorders and draw a few simple treatments up.
Once we have them finished...
We send all three to Pepsi Smash.
That would speak much louder than petitions or viewer feedback.

Now we have to figure out who has the video and editing tools to help us put this all together.
And of course, get a list of names of those who'd be interested in both submitting beats and in being featured.
